Commercial Description:
Consider it an extremely hoppy barleywine, or a really big IPA. Either way, ten hop additions contribute to its lush and intriguing body. Aggressive dry-hopping brings a strong citrus character to the aroma. The flavor and smell of orange-blossoms pervade throughout the experience.
Ingredience:Water,Barley(200 pounds per barrel of American-grown malted barley),Hops(10 hop-strikes,totaling 17 ounces per barrel of American-grown hops) and yeast(it is what it is).

Sampled at HotShotz Indy tasting May 24, 2008 - Aroma is caramel and lots of citrus hops. Pours amber with a small head and good lacing. Flavor is citrus hops, caramel, orange and doughy yeast. Palate is creamy and tart. Pretty tasty stuff.

Darkish yellow ale looking. Big hops and alcohol but not overdone. I guess I will take the experts opinion that this is a barley wine but if it is I think it is the first I have really enjoyed.

strong sweet malty aroma .... sweet resin and caramel/prune start ... hoppy bitter finish that lingers ... thick mouthfeel ... alcohol shows up as it warms .... heavy and sweet ... save this one for a dark and cold evening

Copper pour with a slight haze, however it is really clean looking. Thin off white head with a little lace left behind. Fresh wet hop aroma a little grassy though. Sweet caramel flavor up-front with a pine hop finish. A slight hint of citrus lingering in my mouth leaves me wanting more.

Pours a golden copper with slight haze, almost no head. Aromas of pine and citrus...hops, honey. Flavor of sweet honey sickle, caramel at the start and then finish of hops bitterness. Medium bodied with no carbonation? --> Very different than when I had this before - not sure if this is aged or just not kept properly as I bought the bottle from an unfamiliar retailer. I remember it being much more lively, carbonated, and more hops. Does anyone know how to tell the vintage on these bottles?

Pours an amber with very small head. Hoppy, sweet and alcohol nose. Flavor is sweet up front with a hoppy and citrus. Texture is syrup thick on the palate that just coats the mouth. Good alcohol warmth with a bite of hops on the finish.

Pour is hazed murky coppery amber with almost no head, but a few big bubbles of off white nature...smell is pine and citrus and a lot more subdued than I expected...taste is sweet and caramel up front with a nice citric pine flavor coming in toward the end...not really aggressively hoppy....interesting though....
