Sep 6, 2007 (22oz bottle) Soft, medium beige head with nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, floral, bread, light grapefruit. Taste is sweet, bread, pine/grapefruit, some orange, light grape. Sticky full body, very smooth. Alcohol noticeable but not in-your-face.

Sep 6, 2007 22 oz. bottle via trade with crizay - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a one finger thick off white head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is toasted doughy malt, light esters, and light citrus hops. Flavor is semi-sweet malt, some dark esters, and a good bit of hop bite remains. Medium body. The alcohol is noticeable, but not over bearing. A good sippin’ BW. Thanks Chris.

Sep 2, 2007 Copper pour with a lasting, yet small, beige head. Sweet and hoppy aroma, caramel and quite a bit of yeast. Syrupy mouthfeel, light carbonation. Initially, its hot and alcoholic. Then, it becomes just a bit less hot and alcoholic. Malty sweetness, some orange and dark fruit, raisin, plum. Whew, this one is strong though. A bit too boozy and overpowering.

Aug 28, 2007 Bottle. [Courtesy of Papsoe, another great session] Average creamy beige head that really lasted. Light cloudy body with an amber color. Fair display of lacework. Grapefruit aroma, notes of elderflower, citrus, caramel, underlying fruity notes, hint of bread like notes with some grain. Full bodied with an average carbonation and hint of alcoholic and dry texture. Moderated bitter flavor with light to moderated sweet notes. Dry and bitter finish. Very nice Barley Wine. 15-08-2007

Aug 26, 2007 Bottle. Dark orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of alcohol, oranges, mild papery oxidation, and vegetables.
Thick body with alcohol that seems over the top at times. Very chewy and hop-ridden. Malt sweetness in the middle but otherwise very bitter.
