Commercial Description:
Consider it an extremely hoppy barleywine, or a really big IPA. Either way, ten hop additions contribute to its lush and intriguing body. Aggressive dry-hopping brings a strong citrus character to the aroma. The flavor and smell of orange-blossoms pervade throughout the experience.
Ingredience:Water,Barley(200 pounds per barrel of American-grown malted barley),Hops(10 hop-strikes,totaling 17 ounces per barrel of American-grown hops) and yeast(it is what it is).

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is slightly hoppy giving it a flowery touch. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and a light citrusy hoppy note.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Slightly hazy amber golden with a yellowish head. Fat aroma of caramel and hops. Very full in body with loads of sweet caramel and nuts and a hoppy finish. To me this is a classical American barley wine. 150807

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy amber, small head. Salty grapefruity aroma. Full bodied with lots of chewy, caramelly malt, as well as citroc hops and alcohol. Full flavoured and very hoppy. Bready and sweaty. Salty very bitter finish. Powerful, yet not brash.

Hazy orange-amber color. The aroma is strange, with hops, malt but also celeri. Quite strong body, very good malty flavor (or sweet caramel) and a bit oily, well balanced by the correct (strong) hopping, that is a bit aromatic too, with hop oils, and some toffee impression, growing towards the end. Very powerful and good, but not my favorite.
In my opinion it doesn’t fit the class of the Barley Wines and IPAs, but more a generic American Strong Ale.

(22oz bottle) Soft, medium beige head with nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, floral, bread, light grapefruit. Taste is sweet, bread, pine/grapefruit, some orange, light grape. Sticky full body, very smooth. Alcohol noticeable but not in-your-face.
