Commercial Description:
Consider it an extremely hoppy barleywine, or a really big IPA. Either way, ten hop additions contribute to its lush and intriguing body. Aggressive dry-hopping brings a strong citrus character to the aroma. The flavor and smell of orange-blossoms pervade throughout the experience.
Ingredience:Water,Barley(200 pounds per barrel of American-grown malted barley),Hops(10 hop-strikes,totaling 17 ounces per barrel of American-grown hops) and yeast(it is what it is).

Clear amber color, off white head. Arma is fresh hops muted by some weird cardboard thing. Flavor is sweet, a lot of hop flavor. Hopwines about right.

sampled at Lansing Winter Beer Fest 07’...cloudy orange body with thin off-white head..aroma heavy in sweet malt, caramel, and light zesty hops...flavor of sugary malts and citrus hops...this is more of an old IIPA (where the hops were dying off) than it is a barley wine...however, it was quite good and they should bottle this instead of that Blue Goat Dopplebock shit

Rusty brown with big tan head. Sweet pineappley tangerine aroma. Intensely stewed hop tea taste. Alcohol is only slightly apparent, and finish is forgiving. $9/22oz

dark copper/amber color with a glorious white head. tons of caramel in the aroma and a decent spicy and piney hop presence. chewy malts, for sure. pretty good hop kick but by no means at the level of bigfoot or old ruffian. very similar to southern tier backburner. can’t notice the 10.5% which is deadly.

Clear orange with a small head. Aroma has the makings of an IPA, but stronger. Sweet malts, over a pine and citrus backbone, with some floral notes. Chewy body. Flavor of pine hops, grapefruit, citrus, malts, and kinda sweet. The alcohol is fairly well hidden. A good one.

Sampled with stegosaurus. Coppery pour with aroma of sweet malt , caramel and hop. Malt, sweet, caramel , hop and alcohol mouth but blended rather well while still holding a bite. Really good.

22oz bottle. Golden orange color with a medium sized off white head. Appley malt aromatics with some spicy and herbal hop notes. Heavy, creamy malt presence with light alefruit, slight nuttiness. Sharp, acrid floral hop component with a medicinal bitterness. Higher alcohol notes in the finish, lots of heat. Doughy maltiness persists, medicinal hop character as well. Mouthfeel is a heavy medium, rather hot.
