Commercial Description:
Consider it an extremely hoppy barleywine, or a really big IPA. Either way, ten hop additions contribute to its lush and intriguing body. Aggressive dry-hopping brings a strong citrus character to the aroma. The flavor and smell of orange-blossoms pervade throughout the experience.
Ingredience:Water,Barley(200 pounds per barrel of American-grown malted barley),Hops(10 hop-strikes,totaling 17 ounces per barrel of American-grown hops) and yeast(it is what it is).

Pours cloudy orange with a short lived head. Hoppy aroma, resinous, piney. Flavor starts very sweet and fruity, peach notes, with a syrupy finish.

Dark, reddish, hazy color. Smell of hops, spice, dark fruit, caramel, toffee, cotton candy, grapefruit, pine, honey and some roasted nuts. Taste of hops, hops, hops, malt, spice, slight pine, citrus peal, apricots, prunes, nuts, oranges and caramel. Very different beer. Love the hops in this one! Alcohol comes into the picture after it warms up!

Tasted this off a growler at DLD> Nice malty rich flavor that was very hoppy. Flavor was pretty smooth overall, seemed pretty good.

Bottle shared by Maniac. 10.5% ABV Caramel with spicy hop aroma. Hints of dark fruits. Slightly cloudy orange golden with little head. Lots of grassy hops up front, with caramel sweetness and some alcohol warming following.

I thought this one would be better than it was. Pours an amber color with a small blotchy head. Piney hoppy aroma and blends with some caramel and toffee. Sweet and a bit sticky, which is distracting at times from what is a big hoppy flavor, both pine and some grapefruit, caramel malts, butterscotch, toffee. It is somewhat alcoholic, showing mostly in the finish. Definitely a hybrid of a beer, I had a hard time getting into it. Too sweet and really not any bitterness to speak of to offset that, leaving this overall a little messy.

ruby and brown with only mild head. moutfeel is thick. flavor of caramel malt and wheat. the caramel provides the initial sweetness, but the wheat ends of lessening the flavor instead of adding to the complexity. some hop bitterness. not a huge fan of the wheatwine in general, but this version is better than others i have had

I did not realize this was a BW. I thought it was a IIPA. Very piney aroma with a huge hop bomb explosion on the tongue. Nice

Tap at the Arena during Ann Arbor Brew Week Pub Crawl. Poured an orangish amber with an off-white head. Aroma was full of grainy notes with sweet and caramel notes present as well. Flavor was quite odd as it brings IIPA components to a barley wine. There were sweet malts as well as bitter hops with a bit of alcohol. A fun beer.
