Commercial Description:
Consider it an extremely hoppy barleywine, or a really big IPA. Either way, ten hop additions contribute to its lush and intriguing body. Aggressive dry-hopping brings a strong citrus character to the aroma. The flavor and smell of orange-blossoms pervade throughout the experience.
Ingredience:Water,Barley(200 pounds per barrel of American-grown malted barley),Hops(10 hop-strikes,totaling 17 ounces per barrel of American-grown hops) and yeast(it is what it is).

Poured a clear amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, caramel malts, bubblegum, and orange blossom honey. Taste of sweeter honey up front, with some caramel, but turning dry, and bitter. Grapefruits, citrus, and a bone-dry, mouth-buckling hoppy finish.

Murky amber color with a quickly falling head. Aroma is a kind of caramelly citrus scent. Incredible caramel sweetness for the flavor. Definite bitterness to back it up, but lacking any hop distinction. A bit of fruit and citrus. Solid.

Bomber thanks to Axila for sharing. Pours a clear polished amber/copper/peachy color with a thin white head. Aroma is typical PNW hops- citrus, resin pine, but also some tropical fruits and cat piss in there. Very thin and lean malt presence- mostly hops all the way throuhg- more of a DIPA, than a BW actually- syrupy sweet malts but they lack body, orange zest, amarillo hops, and c-hops all around. Seemed a bit too clean and refined- hop bitterness was a bit slick actually.

GABF 2008 poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of carmel, lemon, orange and a hint of pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors ofcarmel, grapefruit and pine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Bottle (22oz) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, mds & tupalev -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear golden-orange with an average size diminishing off-white head. Aroma: Holy moly, I do not like this! What’s in there, V8? There’s sweet malt, hops and alcohol, almost barley Wine-like but with some weird veggie element added. Ugh. Flavour’s much better, it’s similar to the aroma but that odd veggie element is not as pronounced -- it’s sweet with quite a bit of alcohol and finish that’s pretty bitter. Medium bodied. I wasn’t crazy about this at all, I’m sure it’s well made enough so I won’t be too harsh but it’s not to my liking.

Pours a lightly hazy ruby/orange/amber with a medium bubbly/creamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of orange, caramel, toffee, nuts, some dark fruits, touch of vanilla and piney. Flavors of lots of caramel malt...sweet but balanced with a nice hop bitterness, pine, grapefruit and again more of the orange that I was picking up in the aroma.
