Pours hazy dark orange with big fluffy white head, very carbonated. Aroma has notes of nice pine, grass, resin, some nice fruity esters, spice, slight barnyard funk. Taste is nice and carbed but still smooth on the palate, with notes of pine and grass, slight fruity pear, lots of spice and funky notes, finishing very dry and pretty bitter. Tasty!

Sour all the way, but no sharp sour notes. Smell is hoppy and musty. Color is hazy orange, thick foamy tan head. Bitter taste with a sour finish. Rather short dry finish as well. Nice mix of the sour and pale style.

I like the copper-ish color of this one, and the head is quite nice. Floral, peach skin (plus tropical sweetness) and slightly tannic aromas - the aroma is fresh, clean and sharp. Head lingers, well-carbonated. Lively palate. The flavor is pretty intense; there is a sharp bitterness and a huge tartness, seemingly quite dry. This is a funky beer, with lots of tropical character and hoppiness. Malt is there in the form of a light bready sweetness, but it doesn’t shine and isn’t balanced. Ssss’OK though.

Appearance is amber with champagne-like effervescence and good retention. Aroma is spicy Belgian yeast, citrus, caramel, and dough. Taste is dominated by very spicy yeast wit hside notes of caramel, tartness, funk, and citrus on the finish. Body is medium, frothy, thin, finishes bitter. Overall, a decent farmhouse but a bit unbalanced; dominated by spice and hop bitterness, too many strong flavor vying for supremacy.

Light colored, well-carbonated. The yeast character in this is lovely, with more funk and berries than spice. Unfortunately the hop character is merely ok, slightly bitter, and not very smooth at that . It is well brewed and at it’s best is a light grassy/berry summer treat, but it just doesn’t go where the american hops can. I never new American hops could pair well with a Belgian yeast, though, until I tried Iron Hill Belgian IPA, Stone’s Cali-Belgique doesn’t do it for me either.

Orange-amber pour with with a tan head. Aroma is a little hoppy. Taste is a little sticky. It has a little dry aftertaste, little floral, a so-so beer/

22oz. Bottle: Aroma of hops, Belgian yeast, lots of spice, coriander, light peach, citrus, grain, and nectar. Poured amber/orange/gold in color with a medium-sized, off-white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of grains, hops, spice, pepper, light citrus, light fruit, yeast, and some herbs. Light to medium body. Tingly, then dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Lightly sweet, medium bitter, hop, Belgian yeast, light fruit, pepper finish is dry.

22 oz bottle, pours out a gold copper color with whitish head and an average amount of bubbles. aroma of sourdough, spices, tart acid and a bit of earthy green hops. not overly funk, nor overly dry as i might have expected from something labeled "farmhouse" but it maintains enough IPA character that it doesn’t need to be purely wild. certainly a change of pace from the regular mad hatter IPA, but it’s an enjoyable one and would go nicely with shrimp or thanksgiving turkey.
