22 oz bottle. Amber in color with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is of heavy perfume, spices, light citrus, grass, and grain. Taste is of grain, straw, grass, coriander and bitter florals.

Bottle. The look is copper in color, white colored head, and a slight haze. The smell is spice, earth, fruit, yeast, and berries. The taste is tang, fruit, yeast, and funk.

May have been a bit past its prime - it literally exploded out of the bottle, though still a very enjoyable beer; amber color; citrusy, spicy aroma; nice citrusy hop flavor with the spicy, fruity notes of a Belgian ale

Perfectly balanced beer with slight hop taste. A good summer beer or saison you could drink multiple of.

I can not see how this got such a high rating... To me it doesnít have a whole lot of flavor. I can taste the hops and it has a tangy spice, but thatís all i taste. It has a mild hoppy smell, and a nice caramel orange color. But it also appears to be unfiltered. It has tons of small solid chunks mixed throughout. they settled after a while. I cant give it a higher rating than a 3.4. I just wasnít that impressed.

This is a good beer from New Holland. Definitely worth trying. It wont knock your socks off, but it wont disappoint either.

Tap: hazy copper-ish, amber-ish body with a dark beige head, frothy & foamy atop the brew. Aroma contains light citric, leafy hops, mild hay & farm funk notes with a touch of damp cotton. Slightly grassy, lemon zest in the finish. Taste is very similar with more sharp orange, citrus, & pineapple zest out of the gate. Farmhouse character comes through with faint cotton & hay funk, slightly musty & damp. A touch of tartness near the finish, but far from sour. More grassy & leafy hops in the aftertaste. Like a mild, hopped up saison. Pretty good stuff.

From a bomber poured in a snifter. Aroma is pleasant spice but faint. Appearance ruddy red and cloudy. Initial flavor is thin and somewhat acidic and juicy. Finish is more musty and bitter. Not awful but I donít really see much in the way of redeeming value in this brew. I was worried this would be overly-hopped like many New Holland beers are, and at least this wasnít that. The hop level is appropriate for the style. Lower ABV than Iíd expect for something like this.

On tap at the Michigan Fall Beer Fest. A nice bit of funkiness. Quite refreshing with a nice tartness.

Draught at Sugar Maple, Milwaukee 23/viii/13. Belgian farmhouse funk & IPA hop freshness do mix, but not when the farmyard funk feels injected like a chemical adjunct. Dry, yeast astringent. Bit unnecessary. I prefer to see farmyard/IPA crossovers approached from other side of the equasion (De la Senne, Blaugies/Hill Farmstead coop), where quality US hops can be imported and injected into fully farmhouse yeasts given enough old world time.
