4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Great clean aroma. Enormous head that quickly begins looking like soap suds. Slightly cloudy but nice golden color. Not bitter, but tart, easy going down. Right amount of carbonation. If this is considered an IPA, it’s my favorite... probably because it doesn’t taste like an IPA.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells remarkably like floral soap. Don’t know whether this odor is good or bad. Tally ho! After a slew of subpar beers, a surprise helps turn things around! Farmhouse Hatter is quite the interesting beer, not a stunner, but with enough curiosities to keep me occupied for a while. It pours with the best of them, a gorgeous gold with a huge, fluffy white head that leaves lace with reckless abandon. Tastes solid, with more of a Belgian slant than that of a strong American IPA. The soap thing comes through, but the finish is bitter and yeasty and with a slowly evolving tang. Like I said, curious, and not in a bad way.

On tap. Little on the nose. Really great balance between IPA and Belgian. Bitter finish. Good.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Farmhouse funk. Yeah, that’s right. Decent in ways and others not. Too sour for instance. Nice brown tan IPA color. Nice head too.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted from a 22oz. bomber. it poured a cloudy amber with a thick, frothy, lasting head, and lively carbonation. Bright hop aroma and a bitter, yeasty hop taste. Definitely off the beaten IPA path.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance is amber with champagne-like effervescence and good retention. Aroma is spicy Belgian yeast, citrus, caramel, and dough. Taste is dominated by very spicy yeast wit hside notes of caramel, tartness, funk, and citrus on the finish. Body is medium, frothy, thin, finishes bitter. Overall, a decent farmhouse but a bit unbalanced; dominated by spice and hop bitterness, too many strong flavor vying for supremacy.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle served in a Blvd. Tank 7 tulip. Poured a hazy amber/gold with a couple of fingers of white head. Very fragrant with citrus and pine from the hops and a good dose of Belgian yeast spice. Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Starts off with plenty of hop bitterness. Finishes with some Belgian spice. Very drying from hops in the finish as well. Very fresh tasting, which I always like. Interesting beer. Easy drinking.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Warm orange color, hazy bodied, fresh green tealike aroma. Seems to evaporate on the tongue, moderate carbonation, mild flavors with some lingering hop bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle. Light amber color with an off white head. Has a faint floral aroma with hints of yeast and citrus. Subtle tart citrus flavor with a little of that funky farmhouse yeast mixed in. Contains a mellow, sour aftertaste. Soft carbonation with a somewhat creamy texture. Enjoyable brew. I liked how none of the flavors were over the top.
