Tap at Paradiso Dupont. Possibly the best beer ever brewed by New Holland- either intentionally or unintentionally Brett infected with great dryness and complexity.

Pours significantly better than the other beers on tap today with a massive, rocky beige head that leaves full sheets of lace. Nose is sugary peach, fresh tangerine, and a good wallop of fresh spearmint. Floral Brett and sweaty funk come through in the nose. Taste is very dry and extremely effervescent with sharp cedar and mild acid. Full doughy malt and biscuit comes in the background for malt backbone. Excellent stuff. Sort of like an Orval clone.

Bomber from Capone’s. Pours turbid orangy copper with 2-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is yeasty funky spice, orange marmaladey citrus fruit, hops. Tastes dry, citric, with orange zest, spice, florals. Fairly complex and stays dry throughout. Smells sweet, tastes dry and floral and hoppy. Nicely done.

Draft. Lemon malt and tropical hops aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange/lemon, yeast, malt and lightly bitter grass flavor. Very nice beer.

Bottle thanks to someone. Pours with a huge foamy white head over a hazed golden body. Aromas are floral, peppery, estery, phenol, apricot and sage. Flavors are equally floral and spicy. Bitter, grainy, apricot, grassy, hoppy. Stone fruit, lingering esters. Lively carbonation.

Mad hatter mixed with some Belgian yeast, it isn’t too bad, but not mindblowing.

2012 bomber. Poured slightly hazy medium golden with a nice off-white head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit, white pepper, and cloves over a caramel and lesser biscuity base.. fresh and vibrant, and I enjoyed the Belgian yeasty twist. The flavor opened tart with peppery spices and nondescript bitterness.. mixed fruit and bready notes at the core.. the spicy yeast worked well with grapefruity hops at times, and just OK at other times. Medium-bodied and spicy on the palate.. decent feel and flow.. too many clashes to be great.

On tap. Poured clear gold with a white head that dissipated, but left a nice lace while it lasted. Aroma was mainly sweet grains with a bit of biscuit and hay and just a hint of underlying floral notes. The flavor had more floral with the sweet grains that mainly had a biscuit note.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Happy Gnome. Clear golden pour with a white clingy head. Soft farmhouse funk, palate is a touch bland. Just okay.

22oz bottle, 2012 vintage. Clear amber color, thin white head. Nice lighter but soft carbonation, classic farmhouse texture. Light tart and mildy zesty flavor, light bitter. Light citrus peel. Nice spicy hop aroma, just a little funk, not over the top, and easy to drink and nice to enjoy with my Subway.
