Taste of burnt brown sugar and vanilla extract mixed in a high alcohol solution, all that maltiness but you can sense it will be sweet also, taste is much the same ,big maltiness, with that dark caramel, and extract taste, and lots of alcohol to let you know you have a eisbock here. no bitterness of any kind, enjoyable but it will take a while to finish a glass lampeno_420 (258), Zeeland, Michigan, USA Apr 13, 2008 On tap at New Holland. Caramely scent with a red/brown color. Tastes thicker than it looks with a lot of caramely malt like biggenius said. Drank very smooth for the alcohol content. I enjoyed it. biggenius29 (155), Hamilton, Michigan, USA Mar 8, 2008 On tap at the pub. Pours dark brown with a large white frothy head that sticks around for the whole beer with laciing coating the whole glass to the end. The aroma is of caramal, with a little alcohol. No hop aroma. Taking a drink, it is very malty also very clean, a huge caramel flavor, along with some bread too. No hop flavor. The finish was mostly alcohol, with very little bitterness.
