Strong aroma has a yeasty and slightly fruity overtone. It pours a clear and unimpressive straw yellow with a thick but not persistent white head. However, appearance ain’t everything, and if that is a beer’s weakest point, big fat hoppy deal. Mouth-filling flavor has robust malty, fruity and hoppy notes, with sweetness and bitterness nicely balanced. Firm, smooth texture has plenty of strong fizz. Prost!

Bottle at home. Yellowish golden pour with an enormous white head. Crackery aroma with hay and fresh grass. Light bodied with obvious high carbonation. Saaz hop flavor in the forefront. Light lemon and a grassy, crisp, finish. Lacks that smooth fat roundness of a true Kolsch (or a decent American Kolsch style). This is pilsnerish.

Bottle pours light gold with white head. Bread and slight floral aroma follows through to taste. Light and crisp, low hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Kolsh is not my favorite style so this beer is not that good, to me. Very bready and slightly sweet. I could see this might be refreshing on a hot as hell day though. Not my bag of tea.

Pour on tap at Crunchy’s, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, biscuit, dough into some grass, slight hay. Taste was a mix of grass, bread, dough into some yeast, spice, hay, finishing slightly bitter. Decent.

Poured from bottle into a tulip: Pours golden with a thin white head. Aroma of cracker malts, light grass, and slightly floral. Taste is sweet cracker malts, little grass and slightly metallic. Too sweet, lingering sweetness. Not so great.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains, floral hop aromas, and light grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes clean and crisp.

The idea of making a Kolsch with a single malt and a single hop is intriguing, but the execution is strange. The Pilsen malt imparts an odd graininess in this form and the Saaz hop appearance is... odd. The hop note isn’t very bitter but it almost seems musty. It takes time to get accustomed to it. While I’m okay with style deviation, I found myself missing a smooth, light malt body and a crisp, clean hop note. On a more positive note, this beer is beautiful to look at. It’s cloudy and not quite straw-colored. The head is phenomenal. Full Circle’s got a pretty face and nice ideas. That’s a start, at least.

On tap at their pub in Holland, MI. Pours a clear golden with a thing white head. Sweet corn and grains in the flavor. Nice, refreshing beer. Finishes dry.
