Strong aroma has a yeasty and slightly fruity overtone. It pours a clear and unimpressive straw yellow with a thick but not persistent white head. However, appearance ain’t everything, and if that is a beer’s weakest point, big fat hoppy deal. Mouth-filling flavor has robust malty, fruity and hoppy notes, with sweetness and bitterness nicely balanced. Firm, smooth texture has plenty of strong fizz. Prost!

Pours slightly hazy bubbled straw yellow with a foamy white head that laces well. Aroma is grass/hay/grain with a touch of sweetness. Taste is slightly sweet bready malt, corn, grass. Really no bitterness. Very crisp when cold but a bit malty sweet. A decent kolsch.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a white head. Burnt sugar, caramel, and light almost squash-like notes on the nose. Sweet up front with mild corn syrup, light sponge toffee, and minerality that leads into maltiness and lighter metallic hops. Not my favourite beer style in the world, but this is entirely decent.

Draft pour. Pours a pale yellow with a white head of foam. The aroma is a touch grainy, but it is so faint, I can’t be sure. The taste is bbready and a little sulphuric, like a lager sometimes gets. Light body and medium carbonation.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours yellow with a white head. Taste lightly sweet, floral. I thought this was ok. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not that good. Kind of a weak flavor but too much alcohol content obvious to make this a good Kolsch. Citrus. Wheat. All kinda watery.

12oz bottle, pours hazy yellow color, little head, but decent lacing throughout the pour. Typical German style brew, clean crisp flavors, refreshing finish.

Woops, almost forgot this. Thanx Eric. This was poured into a stange. The color had a light golden orange to yellow color with a slim finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Lacing, uh...not really, there wasn’t anything there. The smell had a sweet hay/grassy aroma with light sweet crisp malt in the background,. The taste was basically the same - barely anything different. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and came across pretty sessionable. Overall, good American - Kolsch styled ale that I would have again, maybe not an Alaskan Summer ale, but hey I can’t get this on a regular basis and since ABC recently started distributing to Michigan, the least is giving up some of Michigan, thank you New Holland. Cheers.

Sweet hay aroma. No head. Light golden color. Mouthfeel goes from light crisp and almost clean to dry, worn and rough. Taste is agreeable, slightly salty, considerably cat urine, but enjoyably so.

Hazy amber color; Light slightly creamy body; Aroma of yeast, hay/grain, & floral/fruit; Flavor of malt, yeast, hops, caramel, and some fruit; Crisp finish; Fairly thin - but still enjoyable.
