3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at New Holland. My first try at a kolsch, ive been putting it off for a little while now.
Dont know if this is the best example i can get or not, but i enjoyed it pretty well. Big fluffy head and golden color. Decent aroma, but the flavor was a lot more. Lots of grassy notes throughout, which slowly die off leaving a heavy aftertaste. Could’ve done without the huge aftertaste, but the refreshment of the initial taste will keep me coming back for more.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, well retained, tiny bubbled, white head, with extensive lacing, over a very slightly hazy, gold (SRM 5) body......nose is light colored fruits (pear, apple), noble hops, light cereal, light sweet corn, hints of banana/bubblegum, balanced.....taste is very slightly sweet, with light fruit tones, cereal, light hop bitterness on the finish, balanced......mouth feel, light of medium, body, no alcohol, spritz, creamy carbonation. This is a reasonable representation of the style. In appearance, it is too hazy. In alcohol, it is a bit high. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear golden pour with a medium foamy white head. Lovely nose of bright cracker and a wee kiss of grassy/floral hops. Smooth and crisp flavor full of clean cracker pale malt and ever so slightly bitter peppery saaz. A touch of bubblegum throws me off but otherwise there’s a bit of floral noble hoppiness that’s kinda unique.

Bottled. Golden pour. Bit of a malty bread tinge. Light caramel. Not too bad but maybe over malty for the style for some.

Pours a hazy orange...the aroma is very light, but with a hint of herbs and spices..the flavor is light, refreshing, but it still has an herbal flavor...
