COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Michigan grown hops are the story in this seasonal harvest ale. Hopivore is wet-hopped with hops added to the brew just hours after harvest, creating rare, fresh flavors.

Bottle: Rich copper (dark for an IPA?) with a beige head that lasts for a short period of time; minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma of timid citrus & mango up front, but itís quickly overrun by a big, brash, aggressive hop tone. Resin, bitter leaves, sharp pine needles, ash. Taste has a mild peppercorn spice to it with lots of aggressive hop leaves & pine. Grassy, leafy, & lots of that pepper from start to finish. Malt noticeable in the aftertaste, lingering caramel & toasty malt with a hint of sweetness. Warmth brings out a slightly unpleasant rubbing alcohol flavor in the back-end. Wasnít a big fan of this at all. Very messy, unrefined. Plenty of better wet hopped options out there.

Has a bit of a funky taste that lingers way to long. Descent aroma but not one of their better offerings.

From bottle. Malty, caramel, medicinal. A bit oxidized, perhaps? Light hop aroma. Dark coppery amber clear with lacing creamy beige head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Moderately sweet with caramel, biscuit, honey. Mild bitterness and kind of oxidized. Dull finish with light nutty bitter after.

Pours a barely translucent amber with a nice cream-white head that leaves generous lacing. Hoppy and malty aroma has a hint of fruit. Bold flavor has malty, hoppy and yeasty notes; finish is hoppy but not bitter. Finish is woody and hoppy, while mouthfeel adds hop bitter notes. A toast to the winter holidays.

From a bottle poured a copper color with a small amount of head. Stong hoppy flavor with a lasting finish.

From an old rating note. Not sure where I tried, but likely Proof. Orange pour. Sweet caramel aroma. Tastes are herbal, floral, moderately bitter. - 6.8

Tap pours an amber copper with eggshell frothy foam. Earthy aroma kinda light, . The flavor starts nice and rich with the sweet toffee from the grains working well with the herbal fruity hops. Drying earthy green grass, light orange citrus and touch of herb last in the finish with a toasted bread grainy feel. Pretty enjoyable and full of flavor for under 6%.

Decent pale ale. Light and crisp hop bitterness. Decent malt backbone, with a creamy mouthfeel. Nothing crazy, but very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample at 1808 American Bistro. Pours a dark orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of grassy hops, toasted malt and pine. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hops aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a transparent golden orange with thin off-white head. Smells of dough, grain, and pale malt with very mild hop notes. Average on the palate. An underhopped, underwhelming example of the style.
