Michigan grown hops are the story in this seasonal harvest ale. Hopivore is wet-hopped with hops added to the brew just hours after harvest, creating rare, fresh flavors.

Pours a clear brownish amber with a tan head. Aroma of darker malt and hops. Taste is mildly sweet with strong peppery bitterness. Nicely balanced strong hops, but tempered nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

December 15, 2012 on tap at busters. Clear light brown pour with head and lacing. Light pine hops on the nose and in the taste and some fruitiness. Pretty smooth and light to medium body.

Tap at Busters on 28th. Orange pour with a nice frothy head. Grassy and mild juicy hops - easy drinking and tasty.

The best thing I can say about this beer is that it is infinitesimally better than average. Pours brown with a dark red hue and is topped off with a decent head. The beer is virtually scentless other than faint traces of alcohol. It is thin with a mild effervescence. It tastes incredibly bland, especially considering that it incorporates the word "hop" into its name. Would only drink this again in the most dire of beer situations. Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear copper with 2-finger frothy head. Nose is bready caramel malt, subdued hops. Tastes of caramel malt, resiny hops, black pepper. Gets too astringent late, and gets cloying. A minor miss.

Tap at PH, copper orange pour, small head/lacing. Aromas and flavor were very light, some bread, citrus, pine, and florals. Body was very light and finish was bland. Not a good pale ale in my book.

Bottle. Cloudy deep amber body. Frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting. Aroma of raw, dusty grain, leafy resinous hops, pine, grapefruit. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, smooth texture, lively carbonation. Taste of husky grain, resin, pepper — like so many other resin bombs.

Pours a clear copper color with a think pillowy head that lingers a long time. Aroma is faint but pleasant. Perfumy, floral hops mixed with some malt. Taste is solid. Light sweetness, floral hops with a nice malt backbone. Finish is a tad dry. Overall not a bad beer just nothing exciting going on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Pours a somewhat hazy dark amber color with a moderate off-white head. Nose isn’t too strong, but has some nice hoppiness to it. Taste is a tad bitter, but not overly so.
