Michigan grown hops are the story in this seasonal harvest ale. Hopivore is wet-hopped with hops added to the brew just hours after harvest, creating rare, fresh flavors.

Hmm... as I opened this an Eminem song popped up on Pandora and the previous rater of this beer got it from a user named Slim Shady. Coincidence? Absolutely. 12 ounce bottle from Samís Quik Stop. Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big toasty and caramel malts with peppery and herbal hops. The taste is bitter green and resiny hops with caramel malts. Some honey and toastiness as well. Medium bodied. Thereís no best by date on the bottle, so Iím hoping it was old when I bought it. Itís good, but falls short on the wet hop promise. And Iím used to New Holland falling short.

Sample at 1808 American Bistro. Pours a dark orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of grassy hops, toasted malt and pine. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hops aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

12 oz bottle. It pours a clear copper color with a foamy white head. It sticks for a bit and leaves some nice lacing. The smell is standard pale ale fair, it isnít much, a kiss of hops with a big candy/caramel malt presence. The flavor follows. It is mellow, the hops seem quite vegetal. Low bitterness, low carboantion. It is an average APA. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-17-2010 02:44:18
