COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Michigan grown hops are the story in this seasonal harvest ale. Hopivore is wet-hopped with hops added to the brew just hours after harvest, creating rare, fresh flavors.

Smells like dank cheap weed. Seems like it has potential to be a nice IPA then just doesn’t make it. Pretty much what I expected from the brewery.

A wet-hop IPA with a 3.1 average? ... Heavily hazed amber with a yellow dirty sea-foam head, visible effervescence. Aroma is light, clean caramel, biscuit, orange, floral, touch of candy. Body is medium, somewhat gritty, with a hint of oiliness. moderate carbonation with a medium-medium-strong burn. Flavor is bitter (slightly astringent) strong herbs, some grass, buried dark caramel, some bitter grapefruit rind. The flavor is lacking, while the aroma is OK, in part due to malt character. Not an impressive offering, unfortunately.

From bottle to glass. Rich caramel malt is overt. Minimal forest floor. Clear amber with a small white head. Taste is full malt with faint citrus. A good, malty beer.

Smells very malty and tasted malty at first. Finishes with a hoppy bitter punch. Pours copper in color with a light tan head. Had out of a bottle at home. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy copper. Begins sweet and floral with a full bodied crisp citrusy hopping. Finishes with a nice bitter ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dingy Amber pour with lots of carbonation and a medium head. Aromas are weakly dusty with a little grass and citrus. Flavor follows suite. This is not a very assertive hops presence and it comes off much more like an amber ale than an ipa. A little grass and spice with a hint of grapefruit and then a fizzle.

Pours a strangely dark amber color with a slightly off white head. Aroma is really weird. Seems like some english hops, but I know they use Brewer’s Gold and Cascade. Sweet sugar notes, slight "wet" note that you would find in the wet hop ales. Slight bitter note up front, a little leafy, burnt sugar, slight spicy/earthy note. Slightly bitter finish blends with the burnt sugar note and is tasty. Medium light body. Not a bad beer, just odd, especially for the style.

Pours a lot darker than expected from a IPA. Off-white head that lingers. Light citrus/grapefruit, and finishes with a pine resiny taste. It is not a bad IPA, but nothing stuck out at me. Easy drinking.

Cloudy dark copper hue with a gorgeous light beige foamy head. Nice fresh and floral leafy nose with a sweet caramel and cereal sweetness underneath. The cereal tones take center charge on the flavor with a dull grassy and citric hop floavor in the middle, ending with some toffee malt and generic hop bitterness. Kinda unexciting for an american IPA, though for a British IPA this would be pretty money.

Nice citrus and pine aroma. Flavors of caramel, lemon peel, orange, grains, pine and hints of pepper. Finish is a bit harsh but good aftertaste.

Pours medium hue body with abundant off-white head. Medium plus mouthfeel. Smooth bitterness. Could go as an IPA. Decent drinkability. Toasty malts in aroma and in taste. Worth having once.
