ARH (568) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 28, 2014
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2014 12oz bottle poured into a imperial pint glass. The initial aroma is a strong vanilla bean note, but this fades to a fairly hefty biscuit / cookie character with cinnamon and nutmeg. There?s a light vegetable note hiding in there too. It pours a remarkable clear, oily amber color, with just a hint of sediment giving it a "glimmering" look; along with it’s almost lazy effervescence. The head is just off-white and frothy and leaves a heavy dose of fluffy web lace, as well as retaining a fairly thick, sudsy head along the surface throughout. The taste is a medium sweet and bitter, with maybe a touch more sweet than bitter. The medium thin bodied beer is light, soft and creamy with a pillowy carbonation. It’s very smooth and easy drinking. There?s definitely "pumpkin spice" present, but it?s balanced nicely by a definitive vegetable note. It finishes with the spice which provides a crisp and fresh touch and a bit of the vegetable, vanilla bean, and spice note linger in the aftertaste.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a dark orange with off white head. Aroma is nutmeg, caramel and spices. Taste is moderately spicey with all spice, nutmeg and pumpkin. Mild to moderate bitterness with some earthly flavors with moderate caramel sweetness. Pretty good pumpkin beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy amber colour with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is sweet pumpkin and spices with some sweet maltiness. Sweet as all the pumpkin beers. The flavour is spices, pumpkin, sweetness, malt and some sugar. Quite tolerable pumpkin beer.

It's an okay from Canela if you like pumpkin ale. It's not as overbearing is Most are. Aromas is mild. Flavor is Toned down and has an unusual Tea characteristic. Good body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ernest (6356) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie), lightly hoppy (apricot), with notes of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, squash. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Heavily dependent on spices (for both aroma and bitterness), and rather thin and watery in the mouth. Ok, but simple and generic.

Spice, malt, bread. Pours an orange gold with an off white foamy head that fades slowly leaving a light lacing. Vegetal. Nutmeg. Spice. Malt. Yeast. Light to medium bodied. This is a really nice solid well balanced beer. I like it.

Cloudy amber to rose pour with a thin, creamy off white head that has good retention and leaves sparse lacing. Aroma is pie spice, heavy on cinnamon and ginger, caramel, toasted pumpkin seeds and light herbal notes. Flavor is earthy pumpkin, dusty cinnamon and ground ginger, a little caramel and earthy, but sweet roasted pumpkin, finishing with an odd perfumey floral hop note. Light body, dry, slightly chalky feel, light, but sharp carbonation. It’s decent overall, the spice notes really seem weird, as if they were really old, or something.
