Bottle. Amber pour. Smells of pumpkin, spices, and toasted malts. Tastes sweet on the front with a slight bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy coppery color, not much of a head. Nose is chock full of pie spice, some malt. Mouth is kinda thin and watery, malt and pie spice up front, then an undesirable astringency (probably from the cinnamon sticks), finishes alright. Pardon me while I rant but I honestly donít get why so many brewers feel the need to attempt these pumpkin-pie type beers because far too many of them just really arenít worth buying. Pumking from Southern Tier is the gold standard, but after that itís a steep drop.... and Ichabod isnít making the grade in any case.

Okay beer. Beautiful brown color. Mild aroma. Very subtle pumpkin flavor. A bit "brighter" in character than most pumpkin beers, but would prefer a creamier body.

Smells better than it tastes, looks clear and amber like a fall beer should. Not strong enough for a seasonal.

Tap. Small, light head. Iím going to go with spice aroma but not too powerful. Starts crisp. Spice hits at the end. Typical pumpkin spices. Perhaps heavy on clove? Lacks the mouthfeel I was anticipating. Not creamy. In general, very satisfied this oneís core isnít hollow.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a bottle. Pours dark copper with a two-inch head. Good lacing. Aromas are caramel, spice, brown sugar and pumpkin. Flavors are brown sugar, cinnamon, caramel and pumpkin. Very muted hop flavor. Medium palate. Nicely done. Pumpkin flavor is present but not overwhelming. This is much like a spiced Oktoberfest beer.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
The best part of the beer is the label and name. As a pumpkin beer it had a fairly flat flavor, with the malt dominating the spice and pumpkin notes.

12 oz bottle from Big Red Liquors in Carmel, Indiana. Cinnamon and nutmeg aromas from a (literally) pumpkin orange body with a thin but persistent white head. The nutmeg really comes through in the flavor along with one of the best vegetal pumpkin flavors Iíve ever had in a pumpkin beer. That flavors continues to evolve through the sip and takes on a woody character. All of this lingers in the aftertaste. The taste is light and refreshing without anything being overdone or out of balance. A perfect flavor for fall and a great pumpkin beer.
