Ichabod combines malted barley and real pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmeg in a delicious and inviting brew. A rewarding complement to many dishes, Ichabod pairs well with autumnal foods such as poultry and root vegetables. After dinner, try it with your favorite dessert!

Was handed a bottle of this over the weekend and asked for my thoughts on it by a local distributor. Aroma is definitely pumpkiny but not overpowering. The same can be said for the flavor where more spice comes out including some true pumpkin in it. Standard variety of pie spices to boot with a hoppier than expected finish. I wouldn’t buy a case but I’ll take a freebie.

I’ve had worse in this style. It’s certainly drinkable with plenty of spices that pepper the nose and tongue. Appearance is sort of a murky brown amber with little head. Finish is slightly watery but not totally unpleasant.

Poured from a 12 0z bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a very aromatic presence of hops and spices. Appearance - A murky orange color with a large tan colored head. Taste- You can really taste the hops and spices but the flavor doesn’t last. Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation and a semi-creamy feel to it. Overall- Not a bad beer at all but there are plenty of others that can exceed this one.

(draft @ New Holland - Holland, MI) Murky orange pour with a fizzy white head. Some mild pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice in the aroma. Flavor is rather subtle. Very lightly spiced with a lot of straight pumpkin flavor.

This beer was pretty mediocre at best. An easy drinker, but the flavors really didn’t lead me to want another. Could taste some pumpkin spice but it didn’t meld exceptionally well.

On tap at world of beer. Lighter pumpkin variety but it's nicely filtered, crisp, and nicely spiced. Sometimes I prefer a more robust, spicy pumpkin beer but this one is very drinkable and not too filling. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a hazy dark gold with a one finger white head that disappears quickly into some soapy bubbles. No lacing to speak of. Aroma has loads of clove and cinnamon with some vanilla and graham cracker. Pretty typical for the style but nothing wrong with it. The flavor is where this beer really stands out. Starts off much like the aroma but has much more depth. Cinnamon seems to dominate with plenty of clove as well. Sweetness is held in check with a drying bitterness making this very drinkable. Mouthfeel is a little watery but it doesn’t really detract. Overall, one of the better lower-alcohol pumpkin beers out there. Great flavor and very drinkable.
