Ichabod combines malted barley and real pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmeg in a delicious and inviting brew. A rewarding complement to many dishes, Ichabod pairs well with autumnal foods such as poultry and root vegetables. After dinner, try it with your favorite dessert!

Was handed a bottle of this over the weekend and asked for my thoughts on it by a local distributor. Aroma is definitely pumpkiny but not overpowering. The same can be said for the flavor where more spice comes out including some true pumpkin in it. Standard variety of pie spices to boot with a hoppier than expected finish. I wouldn’t buy a case but I’ll take a freebie.

Bottle from beer club. Pours mahogany with no head. All the usual suspects for a fall seasonal beer, pumpkin and spices with a smooth finish. Overall, not so overbearing you don't want another. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brown red color with sliver of head. Mild soapy lacing. Pumpkin spice aroma with hint of malt. Sits lightly on the tongue. Clove nutmeg flavor up front with a pumpkin and mild hop finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My favorite pumpkin ale!!! I got into pumpkin ales about 3 or so years ago and by far this one is my absolute favorite. The pumpkin spice and nutmeg are a nice combo (of course) and with this ale they are not overpowering but you know that you are drinking a pumpkin ale. I look forward to every September when this is available. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color. Aroma and taste are spices with some pumpkin.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2016 Pours a cloudy golden with a modest white head. Smells of spiced pumpkin pie. Yum. Taste is similar, but doesn’t hold up to the nose. It’s good, very little bitterness... but somewhat uninspiring. I’d drink it again, but wouldn’t go out of my way to find it either. So far this is there first New Holland brew I didn’t really, really love.

Bottle. A- Pumpkin, gourd, nutmeg. A- Orange color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Gourd, nutmeg, lavender, perfume. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly unbalanced finish. O- A bit of gourd and pumpkin in there with a nutmeg like spice. A bit unbalanced and really not that exciting.

A great pumpkin beer. Every now and then you’ll come across a pumpkin beer every September/October/November that is actually memorable, and this is one of them. The pumpkin notes are solid and the taste is right where it should be: pumpkin, but still beer, rather than some weak iteration of a pumpkin ale that only tastes like one or the other.

Not tasting a lot of a pumpkin, but am tasting more ipa/pale ale. Aroma is lacking and almost none for a pumpkin. Nice coloring of deep hazy orange. Flavor is hops, and an ending of slight pumpkin and then watery. Refreshing palate at first, then watery. Tap

On tap. A great pumpkin beer. Not too spices but with enough that t cuts the pumpkin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
