COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A robust renovation of the India Pale Ale. Assertive dry-hoppying provides an aromatic telltale nose, indicative of the bitter symphony to follow. Bold hop character with lively grapefruit and citrus notes. 20° Plato, Alc. 9.4% by Vol.

Clearish amber color with a big tan head. Citrusy aroma of oranges and grapefruit with notes of sweet malt. Citrusy hop flavor up front, giving way to a vodka astringency and bready malt before the bitter finish. Not bad

Poured from a bottle with a hazy copper color and a decently foamy white head. Has an okay pine aroma. Taste begins with a sweet citrus flavor before turning into a dry pine flavor towards the end. There is a light amount of hops for an imperial IPA, and even the flavor is lighter than I’d expect. This is a decent beer overall, but not a great imperial IPA. I prefer New Holland’s Mad Hatter to this.

Poured cloudy copper color from 12 oz bottle. Aroma is caramel sweetness with little hop scent. Taste is like eating caramel candies, butterscotch mixed with pungent hops. Palate is medium and finish is dry. Overall a unique tasting iipa. I prefer citrus and more bitter tastes in a iipa but that being said a decent brew.

Draft at Logan's Alley - pours a deep amber with tan head . Soft citrus aromas . Taste is grapefruit with some malty sweetness . Good . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated on 6-01-2010 (Bottle) When poured, this beer has a small ivory head with a short retention, hazy amber body, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, bitter and grapefruit. The taste is heavily bitter, caramel malt, citrus, and grapefruit. The palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. I enjoy the way the hops come together in the aroma as well as in the flavor. A very good beer, worth trying and a beer I would drink again.

Tap at Buckeye from 18 Jan 14, taste is old, not well hopped honestly prefer the other hatters, even the white hatter is better than this.. apparently the beer doesnt scale well, though buckeyes serving probably doesnt help

Not my favorite IPA. Its more of just an ale than an IPA. Doesnt have the strong citrusy hoppiness.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is a clear coppery color work a thin what's head and relatively no lace. The aroma is somewhat hoppy, but a sweet maltiness kind of drowns it out. A little piney character, but it's thin. The flavor is reminiscent of the aroma. There is a little more malt, but the citrus and hops come through in good fashion. The mouth feel is pretty good, but a little thin, and the aftertaste isn't the most lingering. Not bad, but there are many better IPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Love it. A bit citrus kick from the hops followed by a smooth malt. Very punch on the alcohol front, full of flavour and goes down easily. A big beer.

Dark unclear orange with white splashy lace. Smell is citrus and equal parts caramel malts. Taste is fruity, citrus, heavy caramel malts, booze. A hint earthy/oaky as well. Ok.
