A robust renovation of the India Pale Ale. Assertive dry-hoppying provides an aromatic telltale nose, indicative of the bitter symphony to follow. Bold hop character with lively grapefruit and citrus notes. 20į Plato, Alc. 9.4% by Vol.

courtesy of sidetracked, thanks! nice dark amber to light brown pour with a creamy 1 finger head. aroma is faint, but nice. the taste is big and heavy, lots of malt, east coast style iipa. lots of clandied floral tastes, medium bitterness to balance, great mouthfeel and the abv is well hidden. very thick aftertaste, thick body, bordering hoppy bw, and similar to flying mouflan side by side.

Appearance: Dark and malty drown red with honey folds. A frothy 1 finger white crown that shows some retention and lacing. Smell: Caramel malt and floral hops. Taste: Caramel malt, floral hops, a touch of astringency, a touch of citrus. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, a touch chewy, and very nice! Drinkablity: The flavor profile is the only thing holding me back from rating this brew higher in this category. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-13-2009

Bottle. Rusty amber pour with a short, beige head. Aroma is spicy and citrusy hops, strong caramel, sweet malt, and maple syrup. Taste is big citrus hops, robust spicy hops, strong caramel, sweet malt, toffee, and melon. Body is thick and chewy while retaining is resinous feel. Carbonation is mild and creamy at times. Ends with more caramel notes, toffee, citrus fruit, melon, spicy hops, floral hops and light maple syrup. Nice stuff!

Pours bright amber with a mostly receding off-white head. Notes of intense pine, mango, grapfruit and hop resins. Full to heavy bodied with thick resins and lightly carbonation.

12 ounce bottle, vintage 2010. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a copper/orange color with about a half inch off-white head that didnít stick around for too long. However, there was a good amount of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is citrusy (grapefruit) hops and a bit of caramel malt. It tastes mostly like citrus (grapefruit) hops along with some pine hops. I donít taste much (if any) malt at all. With that being said, the hops are strong but not overpowering. Thereís also a good bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit crisp and is well carbonated. Itís also a bit coating, too. Drinkability is good, itís enjoyable and easy to drink. All in all, I think this is a good DIPA. I liked it.

22 oz. bomber. Poured a light copper with a skim of soapy off-white head. Lots of splotches of lace. Nose of sweet citrus and pine. Flavor is of sweet caramel malt with notes of resin and citrus fruit. A bit thin, but smooth. Hop profile is very subdued in this one. Just a touch of warming alcohol present. Very solid but admittedly not how I like my IIPAs.

12 oz bottle from Archer Liquors. Poured a dirty transparent brown with some head and lace. Mild grainy sweet aroma. Flavor is nice earthy bitterness backed by an odd sweetness. Finishes slightly crisp and grassy. Interesting take on an IIPA but not to my likings.

Pours a deep, intense copper with a moderate head. Lacing is about average, very foamy. Aroma very hoppy, citrus and grassy with a faint whiff of alcohol. Very assertive on the tongue, not intensely bitter but robust enough. Faint sweetness. Thinnish mouthfeel. Finishes bitter; thereís not enough malt smooth out the aftertaste. Decent IIPA but it doesnít give me the same warm and fuzzy feeling as others in the style.
