A robust renovation of the India Pale Ale. Assertive dry-hoppying provides an aromatic telltale nose, indicative of the bitter symphony to follow. Bold hop character with lively grapefruit and citrus notes. 20° Plato, Alc. 9.4% by Vol.

22 oz capped bottle: translucent orange gold with a large bubbled ivory cream. Leaves a thick lace in several areas. Fresh grapefruit aromatics: the resins seem to be wafting through the air. Slightly gritty palate, sugary. Grapefruit and honey sweetness on the palate, with a well balanced bitterness. Really a delicious flavour. Sticky hop belches. Did I mention this bottle was 3.99 at Whole Paycheck...what a deal.

Bomber poured a clear tarnished copper with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, pine, citrus and some light floral notes. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, pine, grapefruit and light orange with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

22oz bottle from the wine and cheese shop. Pours a hazy orange amber with a big fluffy off white head, great lacing. Nose was full of citrus, pine and sweet caramel malt. Flavor is quite hoppy with citrus and again, a ton of sweet malt in the background. A pretty tasty IIPA.

clear copper/orange color, small off-white head, quite lacy. nose of floral and citric hops, touch of maltiness. flavor has lots of grapefruit hops, with a slight malty note underneath. medium bodied, nice lingering bitter finish. a respectable iipa, well-worth trying again.

Bomber from Archer Liquors. Pours amber copper with a foamy off-white head. Lots of resin aroma hop. Medium plus body with mild carbonation. Flavor is lots of (mostly resin?) hop over caramel. But the effect is tremendous. Finishes well balanced. Quite tasty.

Slightly hazy light copper to amber colored body with a yellowish khaki head. The nose is powerful with grapefruit and crystal malt. There is also some caramel. The taste is messy with lots of grapefruit mixed with a little wood and pine resin. Syrup like in it’s consistency and taste, like pouring corn syrup on some wood chips. The alcohol is pretty well hidden, but you can tell it is a big boy by it’s sticky, viscous mouthfeel. Overall, a decent effort, but pretty one dimensional.

A decent tasting IIPA. Aroma was good. All citrus hops and nothing else. Pour was a nice dark gold with no bubbles and a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was good also. Mostly grapefruit hot hops with a slight caramel malt backbone. Very little carbonation that leaves the beer early which killed the beer for me. Not as thick and syrupy as some of this style which makes the beer refreshing as well as strong.

(Sample Date: 10/27/2009 Source:Other) 22 oz bottle courtesy of Maniac. Floral hops and light nuttiness in aroma. Clear amber golden with large fluffy off-white head. Floral and grassy hop flavor with some nuttiness and alcohol warming. Dry bitter finish. Very good.

22 oz. bottle from Ludlow Wines. Pours a cloudy orange amber color with a medium eggshell head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of pine hops, grapefruit citrus, caramel malts, and pine resin. Flavor follows suit nicely: bitter hops, plenty of pine, a good malt backbone, balancing caramel sweetness, and a lot of grapefruit. Medium bodied, with a malty grapefruit juice mouthfeel. Bitter, citrusy finish. Alcohol is almost completely hidden. Well-balanced DIPA. Very nice.

Bottle Pours a clear golden amber with a thin off white head. The head leaves quickly but laces quite well. Has a good hoppy aroma of citrus, spruce and some vanilla hints. Has a decent carbonation. The flavor is citrusy with a sweet kick. Has a light bitterness too it. The texture is watery. Has medium body but it hides the ABV well. The finish is solid and has a good aftertaste. A touch sweet but satill pretty good.
