3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
New Holland calling this a "bitter symphony" is an understatement of marketing. The bitterness is especially huge on the dry finish. The body is so grainy that youíll swear youíre chewing it. Very attractive to look at and has a distinctive pine-tree aroma. Certainly worth trying.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber: Average DIPA at best. With so many other options out there for IPAs and DIPAs, pass on this one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Aroma has notes of toasted caramel malts, piney and resin hops. Deep medium reddish/amber hue with a very small off-white head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Flavor is medium sweet and heavy bitter. Palate is full bodied and watery soft. Overall an average IIPA that has past itís prime drinking age. This was a 2011 vintage so I will need to try this one again but fresh. Also detecting a slight infection.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Piney/minty IPA. Maybe a hint of nutmeg. Similar to GL Christmas Ale but nowhere near as good.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep robust caramel coloured body with a very clear glow and a thinnish slightly off-white head. Super pungent piney and resiny hop notes at first with a lot of malt and even more alcohol present. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong malty and toffee flavours at first with a lot of hops noticeable, predominately overtaking the balance and showing a resiny finish. Aftertaste shows a lot of sweetness, some good malt, but the hops are the story with a ton showing and bittering the palate - all while the alcohol goes to work. Overall, a nice beer and definitely worth trying if you like Imperial IPAs - Iíll stick with the original here. I sampled this beer purchased from Merchantís in Dearborn, Michigan!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a darkish, brown-yellow color with small, long-lasting head. Aroma is a bit muted--hops and floral odors abound, but donít prepare one for the big flavor. Very smooth, almost sweet, with strong hop presence and nice combination of citrus notes. Full, oily mouthfeel with nice, sweetish finish. Very nice.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber with a frothy white head leavin sticky lacong along the glass. The aroma is floral hops and Citrus. Medium mouthfeel with a vanilla and oak flavor. Easy to drink a very good IIPA from New Holland.
