3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Jrwhitney6 (118) - - MAY 15, 2013
Pours a cloudy orange. Nice nose of citrus and pine. Definitely some grapefruit taste followed by bitter hops. Bitterness lingers for a while. Alcohol well hidden. Not as good as Dogfish Head 90 or Firestone Double Jack, but a good Imperial IPA.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 rajendra82 (872) - Alpharetta, Georgia, USA - MAY 12, 2013
The orange amber colored body was clear, and the pour formed three ginger thick head. The carbonation looked subdued. The aroma was very tropical, with mango, peach, and papaya smells. There were also spicy and herbal notes in the nose. The taste was quite intense, as the spicy hops battled with the very sweet malt base. The result was not unlike sucking on a cinnamon flavored red hot. The alcohol was very warming as well, and the mouthfeel was sticky. This was a typical east coast style DIPA, with complex malt bill, lots of herbal hops, but no bracing bitterness.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Markkind (10) - - MAY 6, 2013
2011 vintage. Citrus and line hop nose. Cloudy appearance and the head doesn't stay around too long. Little bite at the end and definitely smooth tasting for the ABV

Vintage 2011. The hop aroma is fresh, citrus grapefruit, bitter pine hops and baked bread toffee malt, bittersweet malt finish. Well balanced and fresh aroma in a 2011 bottling. Ages well. Would love to try this fresh.

Great palate, aromatic but the hop nose doesn’t follow through as much as I expected in the mouth. No alcohol noticeable which is surprising at 9.4%.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 VRH (14) - Georgia, USA - APR 12, 2013
The aroma is crisp & herbal, with hints of almond, and almost a fresh cut minty smell. The taste gives white pepper, pecan, white grape skin, and some orange zest. The aftertaste is nicely grassy with hints of sweet caramel, and a dry finish. Nicely done -- this is a solid and very tasty DIPA.
