merlin48 (329), Henderson, Kentucky, USA Apr 17, 2008 12 oz bottle pours a hazy straw yellow body with a small white head. Aroma is mostly sweet malt with kiss of floral hop. Light body has a lively carbonation. Taste is nicely balanced between sweet malt and floral hop bitterness. Nice execution of a ho-hum style that is very drinkable and refreshing.
Bigmmartin (137), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jul 16, 2008 Bottle: Clear golden in color with a white head. Smells of light grassy fruit with a standard lagerish metallic funk as well. Crisp and refreshing, easy on the palate. Good beer for the summer. walter (352), Staunton, Virginia, USA Jul 13, 2008 Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Light straw color with white head. Aromas of hay, honey, lemon, and metal. Flavor is mostly light grain, mildly sweet, with grassy hops keeping it balanced throughout. Finish is clean and citrusy. Light and crisp on the palate, this was very tasty! riversideAK (1468), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jul 8, 2008 Bottle from 46er3498. Thanks man! Pours a light gold/yellow with a thin head. Aroma is light and fruity with grass and lemon hop presence. Bread, light sweet fruit, and honey followed by a clean hoppy crispness. nearbeer (1103), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 4, 2008 12 oz. White-gold, clear body with a small but lasting meringue cap. Clean spicy grass, peach, honeycomb, citrus and dry grain aroma. Flavor is grain with light fruit and honey on front; with the spicy grass and citrus coming in later to balance. Light body is a little too frothy for my tastes, but is refreshing as described. Has a bit of a tongue tingle and finishes crisp. jcr (811), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jul 1, 2008 Updated: Jul 2, 2008Bottle. Crisp and sweet. Light on the palate. Nicely carbonated. All in all, a refreshing summer beer. The pour was mostly clear, dark yellow with a diminishing white head. Light aroma of peach and pear with hints of grass and honey. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Light acidity. Light to medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Fewer hop and malt notes than in other Kolsches, but it was an easy drinking beer.
