Commercial Description:
Lucid, a kolsch ale, is New Hollands latest brand launch. It is a beer that takes its spot in the year-round line up in place of recently retired brands, Paleooza and Full Circle. Lucid's refreshing quality is sure to make it a favorite session beer for many different beer drinkers. It has a soft and balanced malt character with a light hop profile and a crisp finish. We recommend it with salads, fish, grilled vegetables, and just about anything served on a patio.

I have not had many Kolsch brews. I was excited to taste it and got a good summery taste. Lots of herb and fruit undertones. Quality taste. I enjoyed it.

Bottle from 46er3498. Thanks man! Pours a light gold/yellow with a thin head. Aroma is light and fruity with grass and lemon hop presence. Bread, light sweet fruit, and honey followed by a clean hoppy crispness.

12 oz. White-gold, clear body with a small but lasting meringue cap. Clean spicy grass, peach, honeycomb, citrus and dry grain aroma. Flavor is grain with light fruit and honey on front; with the spicy grass and citrus coming in later to balance. Light body is a little too frothy for my tastes, but is refreshing as described. Has a bit of a tongue tingle and finishes crisp.

Bottle. Crisp and sweet. Light on the palate. Nicely carbonated. All in all, a refreshing summer beer. The pour was mostly clear, dark yellow with a diminishing white head. Light aroma of peach and pear with hints of grass and honey. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Light acidity. Light to medium body with a watery texture and lively carbonation. Fewer hop and malt notes than in other Kolsches, but it was an easy drinking beer.

Columbia, SC - Total Wines - 12 oz bottle. Slightly murky and thick pour with a light but clingy white. head. earthy aroma with hints of topsoil with hints of honey in the back end. Flavor has some buttery notes, earthiness, a hoppy bite with some pear notes to round it out. Mouthfeel is clean and crisp. A good summer refresher.
