Aroma of grapefruit, pine, color copper, flavor of hops and grapefruit, not much malt, some bitterness at end. Decent IPA

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This brew is a lightly cloudly brownish amber color. Medium light tan head and fair lacing. The aroma is a little musty with hops and citrus. Medium-bodied with hops, pine and citrus flavors. Kind of mild on the hops scale but a decent flavor profile altogether. The finish is bitter and lingering, with a touch of grapefruit. Overall a fairly worthwhile IPA, despite lacking punch.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice IPA. Copper/orange color. Nice head. Good balance between malt and hops. Centennials are interesting change from the ubiquitous cascade. I wouldn’t turn down another.

Good IPA there are several others by Michigan breweries that are as good or better but, this one has good balance.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Slightly hazy copper colored liquid. Neat white head that lingers. Nice mildly hoppy aroma. Tangy and astringent hop flavor. Somewhat metallic. Lingering bitters. Thin texture. Aftertaste not really pleasant. Second sip, bitters intensify. Somewhat nasty aftertaste gaining momentum.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sorry, but this one didn’t live up to the hype all the previous midwest raters have been giving it. Amber colored with a nice lemony citrus aroma. Light bodied with simple citrus flavors and a harsh bitterness in the finish. I’m not afraid of hops but this one just seemed a bit stale. It wasn’t bad but I’ve had better.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A bit heavy on the head, but a good amber color. The aroma is good IPA style, but a bit strong on citrus. There is a subtle nutyness there as well. The bite from this is right one the money. The body of the beer is a little thin however, just leaves the lips feeling a little watery.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Great complex American hop character: pine, orange, grapefruit and herbs in abundance. The bitterness shows up very late in this beer, long after the swallow. There is malt here which shows up as it warms. If this were locally available, I’d be a regular purchaser. Excellent, classic American IPA.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear coppery golden. Juicy centennial aroma- orange peels definitely. Quite bitter with loads of hop flavor as well. Maltiness is subdued, and ultimately loses to the hop charge. Not a great IPA by any means, but will satisfy a hop craving.
