The floral hops really stand out in this beer, with a slight bitterness to the finish.

Tap: Hazy, light amber body with hints of orange flesh throughout. Eggshell, foamy cap disappears quickly to a thin film. Aroma takes on a floral & earthy hop presence up front with a grainy, pale malt backbone. Understates hints of citrus peel & grapefruit rind towards the finish. Taste is quite aggressive with a large bitter smack out of the gate. Citrus peel, ashy florals, light pine that lingers into the aftertaste. Dry, not a big contribution from the malt aside from some pale cracker & grain notes. Decent, could be sessionable thanks to the lower ABV.

Hmmm....very surprised to see I never got around to rating this one. This is a nice showing. Definitely a dry hopped experience, but certainly enough of a malt backbone. Multi-12oz bottle experience.

pours cloudy medium dark golden with a small off-whtie cap, some retention and lacing. fruity and spicy toasted maltiness, smooth peppery caramel, woodsy and almost perfumey - orange liquor-like or grand marnier if you prefer, green tea, hint of sweetness, tingling Pepper and pine, some coffee grinds. moderately low carbonation, light body - oily, assertive yet balanced grassy-herbal-citrusy-piney finish. slightly above average ipa.

Transfer from BA review on 11-9-12- Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a deep amber colored beer with a one finger white head. The head fades in about 1-2 min. leaving a decent amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma is a mix of malt and hop. The malty nature of the aroma is heaviest of a bready smell while the hop aroma is of a grapefruit and earthy smell mixed with a bit of a herbal smell. Taste – The taste begins with a very lightly caramel sweetened bready taste with a lighter citrus hop flavor. As the taste advances the sweetness fades with the citrus hop growing stronger. More towards the end of the taste, with the sweeter flavors largely gone by now, a good dose of herbal and earthy hops come to the tongue. In the end a bitter earthy/herbal biscuit flavor are left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is just above average in terms of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that was just shy of average. The slightly thicker body and the lower carbonation were nice for accentuating the hoppier and breadier flavors of the brew. Overall –The lower abv and more mild hop flavors were nice for making it more session style and the beer has a pretty nice hop flavor that comes to the tongue at the end. While these things were nice, the flavor transitions and balance were not the greatest. Overall it was a decent IPA.

Considerably too malty for my taste in both aroma and flavor. Easy to drink and well constructed, but not my style...

Poured from a 12oz bottle with no date on it. Aroma - It took a minute, but the aroma finally came around. Hint of tropical fruit. Orange peal in there too. Taste - Nice malt backbone...with a nice touch of hops. Palate - another nice back of the tongue beer. Overall - Minus the part the bottle appeared to be conditioned and wasn’t labeled and it blew up after I opened it, it is a pretty good beer. I would like to try it fresher and possibly on tap.

Bottle. Cloudy amber, light head. Mild butterscotch, banana and bready malt aroma. Good mouthfeel, refreshing. Long bitterness and malt flavor sits on the tongue after.
