Phil_L (100), Kent, England Nov 24, 2007 Quite balanced US IPA. I was expecting rip your tongue off bitterness, but no, a really nice balanced US hopped IPA. But for all it’s virtues it lacks something to really give it ooomph; really make me chase after this again. All said, a fine brew tho.
Sparky27 (519), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Sep 5, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber with 2 finger white head and nice lacing. Nose is floral and pine. Taste is floral hops upfront with some malt and pine in the finish. Medium mouth feel. An ok IPA. Everything seems a bit muted though. eaglefan538 (2052), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Aug 30, 2008 On draft at the Half Moon. Yet another brewer that continually disappoints me. The appearance was amber in color, boring to nil head, weak retention and lacing. The aroma was caramel and floral hops. The flavor followed the aroma, caramel and floral the highlights, an astringency in the finish, mouthfeel quite light and undercarbonated. Snore. OldRaspy (276), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Aug 30, 2008 Poured from a 12oz bottle a cloudy amber with a beige head. Aroma was of citrus hops with a touch of sweet malt. Flavor was sweet malt then a whole mouth full of grapefruit. Slimey (2), , Missouri, USA does not count Aug 30, 2008 I seem to be the fan of this one. The aroma has a distinct hoppiness. Color average for an IPA. Once the hops hit the pallet the jaw muscles tighten. Smooth and and crisp, the hops are balanced well with the ale background. If someone hasn’t caught on to an IPA ride this is the one to get it going. Not to be confused with an APA. Toe to toe with Bell’s Two Heart Ale. michael-pollack (1392), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 25, 2008 12oz. Bottle: Faint aroma of hops and caramel. Poured amber/orange in color with a medium-sized, creamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Flavor of bready hops and some caramel. Medium body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Hoppy finish. NOT bitter.
