Clear amber beer with a dissipating ivory colored head. Fresh red grapefruit hops and earthy notes in the nose. This is an old school straight up IPA with big bitter grapefruit and pine resin hop flavors and a strong earthy malt character. An apple fruitiness comes out as it warms. Long bitter citrus finish

Pours copper orange with a decent sized beige head. The aroma has smooth citrus, sweet bready caramel malt, pine and a candy richness. It has a medium body with a roughness and frothy prickly carbonation. The flavor starts off with grapefruit zest, pine, dried bread, minor tropical fruit and some resin. The finish has a harsh bitterness and full maltiness. Pretty good IPA.

Pour is a murky brown with an average white head. Aroma is a nice effervescent pine hop mixed with a sweet malt. Flavor is pretty much the same. Decently hopped with more of a earthy malt backbone. Nothing mind blowing but it has some pleasant hop flavors and itís not as sweet as I thought it was going to be. Itís a more hoppier English style pale ale.

Poured from bottle into a tulip: Pours dark golden with a thin white head. Aroma of light citrus, cracker malt, and caramel. Taste is a little sweet up front, with some light lemon notes, and a bit of a hop bite at the back end. Medium body, medium carbonation, decent beer.

Hazy dark copper, nearly amber, with a thin sticky off white head. Light herbal and grassy hop nose. Smooth and crisp flavor with a amber malty backbone, gentle grassy tones, crisp citrus rind, and a nice herbal-citrus-leafy hop finish. Mild balanced bitterness. Gentle honey tones? Nice.

Clear amber to copper pour with a two finger, creamy to frothy off white pour. Aroma is caramel, toast, biscuit, a myriad of citrus notes, sweet tart and bitter, and some odd, but not unpleasant Smartees candy acidity. Flavor is light biscuit and caramel up front, some bread, toast and mineral, then candied citrus, mineral, floral, light oxidized, cardboardy caramel and some floral notes to the finish. Light to medium body on entry, quickly thinning to a lighter body heft, light to medium carbonation light to medium, mediujm strength carbonation. Good stuff overall.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2015 12oz bottle, poured into an IPA glass. The aroma is a bright citrus note with soft caramel chews, berries, and a light undertone of earth. The beer is clear and oily with a caramel hue and a light tan, dense foam head that exhibits decent retain and lace. The taste is a medium sweet and medium bitter with a slightly stronger sweet front and slightly stronger bitter finish. Texture is oily and a bit sticky with a soft fuzz carbonation and a medium body consisting of bready, citrus, and toffee flavors, as well as herbs. The finish is grassy and earthy with citrus and bread crust notes, as well as biscuit. The aftertaste is dry with notes of earth, bread crust and a waxy, light bittersweet citrus. Overall the aftertaste is mellow and moderate in length with a spice touch.
