COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Michigan Hatter celebrates our local agriculture with its Michigan-grown Cascade hops from the Leelanau Penninsula. Bright and aromatic, with delicious malt notes underneath a citrusy showcase of hops. Pairings: sharp cheddars, herb-roasted poultry and curry.

Nice looking beer, cloudy orange with small white head. Left modest lacing. Aroma was citrus and pine, nothing unusual or special for an IPA. Taste was malty and somewhat light, with good hop presence without tremendous bitterness. I would say the best thing to say about this is that it’s quite flavorful for a session IPA. Not bad, nothing special, though.

Pours a medium golden brown. Aroma is rather flat with a faint aroma of hops and spice. Taste is the same. Rather muted but drinkable. Palate is not too amazing but there are a fair amount of various hop and citrus notes--muted but rather refreshing.

Bottle from Save On. Copper with lasting head and some lace. Fruity herbal grassy aroma. Mild fresh fruity sweetness with very dry herbal grassy farmlike finish. Light body but not really watery. Pretty good, especially for the low abv.

Good malt hop balance, mostly citrus and caramel notes. Low abv leads to non harsh finish

Slight peachy orange coloured body, with some lasting ring of head. Some dots of lace.Very slight hop aroma. Significant IBU and fruity, though somewhat aggressive palate.

22 ounce bottle. Cloudy amber orange color. Small bubbly white head disappears quickly. Sweet caramel malt nose with notes of citrus hops. Rips toasted malt flavor with more caramel and citrus hops. Nicely balanced with soft notes of peppery hops in the finish. Very drinkable with a creamy mouthfeel and brief dry finish.

Bomber courtesy of McBeer. Aroma of dark fruits and hops. Sweet. Muddy reddish amber with a thin off white head. Paeticalia. Much lighter body than I expected. Smooth with no bite whatsoever. 4.8% makes for a session beer that certainly doesn’t look like a session beer.

Had this on tap at the Whole Foods Fair Lakes Smokehouse restaurant island inside the store. Poured a mostly clear orange color with a medium sized tightly packed head. Aroma was some orange, citrus, malts. Some smoke with earthy hop notes, herbal notes on the tongue. Paired pretty well with my BBQ.

bottle. Amber with small head. Seems pretty similar to the standard Hatter, which isn’t a bad thing. Hops are quite crisp, which can only be explained by their super-freshness, right?
