COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Michigan Hatter celebrates our local agriculture with its Michigan-grown Cascade hops from the Leelanau Penninsula. Bright and aromatic, with delicious malt notes underneath a citrusy showcase of hops. Pairings: sharp cheddars, herb-roasted poultry and curry.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber, thanks to Jason. Big cascade hop aroma, more floral than citrus. The malt hop balance is nice in this beer. Big malt character for an IPA, more amber ale like. Nice beer.

Pours amber/orange with small off white head. Aroma is very inviting. Fresh citrus burst of orange and hints of fruitiness and also a sweet malt undertone. Taste is not what I was hoping based on the nose. Floral and citrus are there but feel a tad watered down in the palate and flavor. Just ok.

Bottle. The pour is a vibrant ruby color. The aroma is full of hops with some sour to it. The taste is a little muted, and not as hoppy as I would expect. Finishes clean. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks good; a transparent orange with foamy off-white head. Smells solid; citrus hops with a sweet malty backbone. Tastes like it smells, but less robust, with an average mouthfeel. Eh.

Tap at Happy Gnome. Clear golden amber pour with a white clingy head. Citrus aroma, but the taste is very soft. Very sessionable but not all that interesting.

22 ounce bottle. Amber color. Slight caramel and malt. Bitterness and some hop aroma. Ok. But at $5 a bomber, why not try it?

On tap. Pours a darker amber color. Little off-white head. Couple loose splotches of lace. Medium-plus body, surprisingly full for the light ABV. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, lightly dry finish. Good light caramel malts, hint of chocolate. Nice pine and spicy hop. Satisfying moderate bitter taste, minimal sweet. I’m hesitant to call this an IPA at this ABV... It’s a little maltier than your typical "session IPA", but the malt is tasty here, you might be able to pass it under that moniker. Good stuff, one of the better ones from the Hatter series so far

OK at best. Aroma, taste and after-taste were bland compared to most Michigan IPAs. As claimed, honey didn’t add sweetness. Clear amber color.

22 oz. bottle. Pours hazy red amber color with a nice soapy off white almost khaki looking head that slowly fades to a thin soapy film and collar. Aroma has a very nice sweet bitter spice with earthy floral and even some fruitiness along with a caramel malt. The smell is quit nice! Taste is some what dulled down from the aroma that has a strong malt profile with the hops being subtle and earthy and it finishes watery. Palate is thin to medium with a gritty dry finish. The aroma of this beer is awesome and from there I am let down.

Hazy orange with a huge frothy cream colored head. Light piney hop aromas, but grassy. Big biting fresh hop flavor dominates the initial taste. Medium bodied with a bit of a dry finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
