Michigan Hatter celebrates our local agriculture with its Michigan-grown Cascade hops from the Leelanau Penninsula. Bright and aromatic, with delicious malt notes underneath a citrusy showcase of hops. Pairings: sharp cheddars, herb-roasted poultry and curry.

Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy sour citrus hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

Slight peachy orange coloured body, with some lasting ring of head. Some dots of lace.Very slight hop aroma. Significant IBU and fruity, though somewhat aggressive palate.

Bomber from Blue Dog Lansdale. Pours turbid deep coppery orangy with frothy 1-finger off-white head. Nose is bready caramel malt, oramge marmaladey fruit, piney hops. Tastes piney, resiny, very bitter and IBU-heavy in the alpha acid department, with finishing heavy bitterness, but mayhaps a bit unbalanced, but still delicious.

Bomber. Poured a nice shade of medium orange with a dense, well-retained beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, kind of odd biscuit and bready malts topped by a nice hit of orange juicy hoppage.. strange, but the orange really drew me in. The flavor found tangy orange zest, grass, and floral notes over soft bready and pale malts.. finished dry with light pine, orange, and earthy bitterness. Light-medium bodied and dry on the palate.. moderate carbonation.. just and OK feel/flow. Decent brew, but I donít need another.

Draft. Orange, melon, earthy malt and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet orange malt and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Nice, easy drinking beer.

Tap at Happy Gnome. Clear golden amber pour with a white clingy head. Citrus aroma, but the taste is very soft. Very sessionable but not all that interesting.

On tap. Pours a darker amber color. Little off-white head. Couple loose splotches of lace. Medium-plus body, surprisingly full for the light ABV. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation, lightly dry finish. Good light caramel malts, hint of chocolate. Nice pine and spicy hop. Satisfying moderate bitter taste, minimal sweet. Iím hesitant to call this an IPA at this ABV... Itís a little maltier than your typical "session IPA", but the malt is tasty here, you might be able to pass it under that moniker. Good stuff, one of the better ones from the Hatter series so far

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent orange colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malt hop. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a biting hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Slightly hazy copper and amber coloured body with a nice bronze glow and a thin one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright hops, fairly light though, with some malt, caramel, toffee and a hint of metal. Light-bodied; Nice flavourful hops with a good herbal and dry, airy kick and some very light malt notes throughout with hints of caramel and sweetness at the end. Aftertaste fairly simplistic with a bit of the dry herbal hops showing through, and some good malt notes, while light, add a good balance. Overall, a fairly good light IPA with a nice flavour profile which makes for an easy drinking in the summertime! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 06-July-2013 for US$4.31 sampled at home in Washington after just flying back from Detroit a few hours ago, on 04-August-2013.
