Michigan Hatter celebrates our local agriculture with its Michigan-grown Cascade hops from the Leelanau Penninsula. Bright and aromatic, with delicious malt notes underneath a citrusy showcase of hops. Pairings: sharp cheddars, herb-roasted poultry and curry.

22 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled on 5/10/2013. Pours moderately cloudy orange copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of orange zest, grapefruit, lemon zest, tangerine, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, toast, biscuit, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of hop and malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange zest, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, floral, pine, grass, caramel, toast, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, pine, grass, caramel, toast, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a nicely balanced malt backbone that does not overpower the hops; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy, sticky, and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish as expected. Overall this is a damn nice session IPA! Well balanced and packed with plenty of hop and malt flavor for the ABV; and extremely smooth to drink. Really enjoyed this one.

Pour is a clear copper, light head, minimum lace. Aromas of citrus,fruit,pine,caramel/sweetness. A bit mild on the hoppy side but still nice. Taste is pretty hoppy with citrus, mild fruit and some spicey kick. Very smooth with nice malt for its low abv, caramels, citrus in finish- medium-low bitterness. Pretty solid and fresh/clean ipa. One of their few Ive been more impressed with. Definatly could drink this anytime. They should can this for a nice more sessionable but flavorfull camping beer.

Pours a nice clear golden amber with sudsy white head. Great citrusy hop profile with wonderful caramel backbone and terrific woodsy bitter tail end. Deliciously dry finish. Really enjoyed this brew and a great price to boot! and very surprised at it’s low abv.

Pours a fine-sediment laden auburn with a decent sized khaki head that settles to a thick bubbly ring and leaves some splotches of lacing. Somewhat milder nose of caramel, pine, grapefruit, and herbal hops. Fairly sweet, a bit more bitter, nice mix. Lighter-medium body, decent carb, with a lingering herbal hoppy bitterness. Pretty enjoyable, nothing earth-shattering, just a decent, tasty brew.

Hazy orange with a huge frothy cream colored head. Light piney hop aromas, but grassy. Big biting fresh hop flavor dominates the initial taste. Medium bodied with a bit of a dry finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours golden amber with a tan foamy head. Very mild citrusy hops immediate on the tongue but builds in intensity but still very mild as IPAs go. A slight malt undertone. 1 pint 6 oz bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

It pours a dark orange color with a rather nice fluffy head. There is considerable lacing on the side as the head disappears. There is a caramel aroma with scents of dried fruits and apricots. There is a taste of caramel and dried fruits with tinges of apricots. It is not as bitter as most IPA;s, but is pleasant on the way down.
