Deep gold. Nose of banana and meaty citrus. Light pepper. Flavor is sweet citrus and Belgian yeast with cracked pepper. Mildly boozy.

12oz bottle. Pours a very light golden yellow with a head that quickly diminished to nothing. Aroma is sweetly spiced. Everything smells harmonious and attractive. Flavor is much like the aroma with a noticeable sweetness. Grassy spiciness, and clean fruity finish. Polished and very easy to drink, but lacking the complexity and funkiness I want in a saison.

Pours gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet hay and pepper aromas. Sweet summer fruit, tangy citrus and marshmallow front to back. Lasting pepper and bitter earth finish.

Pours a bright gold with a gigantic head. Has a yeasty smell. Notes of yeast, bread, spice, and fruit.

12oz bottle into a tulip. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with a very fluffy two finger white head but unfortunately it is very quick to fade away leaving just a small ring of lacing around the sides of the glass. Aroma is spicy as a Saison should be with peach and orange peel along with a bit of pepper. It is a little limp, though, and one dimensional. The flavor carries the peach notes over from the aroma along with the Belgian spiciness. A little more in the way of citrus juiciness and less spice along with light bread. The mouthfeel is where this beer tends to be lackluster. It is not real crisp and dry like a good Saison should be. A bit too oily and sticky on the finish. Overall, while this beer can’t stand up to some of the better Belgian examples of the style, it is decent and priced nicely. I am a huge fan of the style and this makes for an affordable go-to beer.

Bottle. Fluffy white head over a light gold body. Aromas of honey and pears with a little peach and some gunky funk.

The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle: Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is lemony citrus and spice. Not so much in the way of funk, barnhouse, farmhouse type smells. Taste is similarly lemony and spice. Not very sweet. Light bodied and easy drinking. Not bad, but I prefer my saisons to be funkier.

Pours a dark golden with a nice bubble stream that provides a medium white head that leaves some nice lacing. Nose is of fruits and spices, pretty much what I expect from a nice saison. Taste is fruity and lightly tart, dry and quenching. Body is medium, carbonation too. Overall a nice saison, I would have want a second pour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
