A soft, medium-body saison with subtle pepper character and fruity undertones. Pairings: shellfish, spiced cheeses and citrus-laden vinaigrettes.

Golden and mostly clear. Floral and citrus aroma. Strong yeasty clove flavor up front and a piney citrus finish. Light bodied and fairly fizzy.

Lightly hazy gold - fairly effervescent - nose moderately tart grape skin, musky peach skin, light phenolics (pepper), some tropical esters - flavor is litly sweet up front, but a tartness and acidity arrive quickly to balance - white grape and peach - moderate phenols late - gets a bit spicy, actually, and the bitterness and peppery character get a touch abrasive - lingering tropical sweetness in the finish - a little rough, but much more enjoyable than I anticipated.

On tap poured into a shaker. The aroma is initially caramel and cinnamon - kind of an apple pie like quality (pie crust included) - with a touch of yeast. This turns a bit tropical near the end with notes of banana and pineapple as well as cloves and pepper. It pours a lightly hazy, oily orange-yellow color with a thin, white, fuzzy ring. There’s a light surface dousing as well as a touch of lace on the glass. The taste is a medium sweet with a medium / medium-light bitter blending. It’s a slick textured, medium-full body with a light, fizzy - almost flat - carbonation. It’s crisp, clean, and dry. The flavors are mostly tropical fruits with caramel and toast. The finish is spicy and waxy with a light wax aftertaste, but clean and light.

[5475-20130602] Sample. Potato plastic apple aroma. Clear, orange body with a quick foamy white head. Pineapple-infused toasted herb flavour. Medium body. Interesting, on the OMG side though. (5/3/6/3/13) 3.0

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste bread, sweet, fruit. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Cloudy yellow, dull golden body with a wispy white crown that quickly fizzles down to almost nothingness. Aroma of some aberrant, chalky yeast notes. Nebulous. Kind of... "off"? Some Belgian-esque spices, quite heavy; clove, coriander, slight gummy notes. Very mild banana & apple skin esters with a cotton-like funky aspect. Taste is full of yeast & full of bread. Heavy, heavy yeast & bread flavors. Very light undertones of apples & overripe banana mush. Mid-palate to back-end has a large funk to it. Musty barnyard, wet wood, & old hay with a heavily musky & slightly funky cheese rind aftertaste. Damp cellar floor, almost cotton-y. Some pungent, earthy & dirty hop notes lend to a slight bitter tingle, combining with the saison yeast for a super-dry finish. This probably isn’t as bad as my review makes it sound, but it was just kind of... Weird. Hard to explain. It’s not awful, but it isn’t a very good or well put together saison, either.

Pours a cloudy straw, good carbonation and a grainy foam head. Very nice and traditional saison yeast aroma, complex in its yeasty floral and citrus notes. Very pleasant floral and citrus up front, with bright citrus middle and yeasty end. Mostly clean mouthfeel with a little sticky residue. Very good!

Deep gold. Nose of banana and meaty citrus. Light pepper. Flavor is sweet citrus and Belgian yeast with cracked pepper. Mildly boozy.

12oz bottle. Pours a very light golden yellow with a head that quickly diminished to nothing. Aroma is sweetly spiced. Everything smells harmonious and attractive. Flavor is much like the aroma with a noticeable sweetness. Grassy spiciness, and clean fruity finish. Polished and very easy to drink, but lacking the complexity and funkiness I want in a saison.
