COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A soft, medium-body saison with subtle pepper character and fruity undertones. Pairings: shellfish, spiced cheeses and citrus-laden vinaigrettes.

Draft at Heavy Riff, served in a tulip. Pours a somewhat cloudy orange with a small but resilient off-white head. Aroma of citrus and faint tropical fruits, barnyard funk, light peppery spice, straw, and grass. Flavor of sweet bread, citrus fruits, faint peppery spice, straw, grass, and light funk. Light-medium bodied, with a fruity, malty, lightly funky mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good saison.

12 oz. Lightly hazy orange-amber with a sizzling head that all but disappears. Nose is spicy caramel banana and earthy oxidized apple. Taste is rusty apple, clove, banana, slight grape must, and a finish of lightly peppery wood. Light-medium body has medium high carbonation and a dry finish.

From bottle at Tazé. Nice aroma. Spicy and floral with a little yeast, very traditional. Bubblegum. Hazy golden amber with foamy huge white lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts with pilsener malt sweetness, nice spicy character and some coriander, bubblegum. Astringent chalky yeast with mild bitter finish. Lingering honey. Nice saison with traditional dryness.

Golden color with a white head. Aroma contains some spices, lemons, coriander. Flavor is citrusy and spicy with some lemons, pepper, and some biscuit notes. Finish is sour. Overall nice one.

From a bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a bubbly, frothy white head. Tastes Very dry, like green pepper and cracked black pepper, dry spice and faint lemon. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like grassy wheat, lemon, light spice and sweetness.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange/gold with creamy white head. Aroma is cracker and cereal malts, bubblegum, floral notes, pear, and some barnyard notes. Flavor is dry malts, some grassy bitterness, light citrus, and faint herbs; dry finish. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

Tasted on 3/21/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Midtown. Pours hazy dark yellow with a very thick and rocky white head that slowly recedes to rocky lace, leaving sticky residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is wheaty malt Saison with some spicy yeast. The flavor is the same with some fruity esters, plenty of banana and spice. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long spicy yeast and bready finish.

Draft: pours a nice golden color with a white head. Spices and sweet candy dominate this. Delicious to say the least. It’s exactly what it should be... Nothing to write home about, just a solid drinking saison.

Bottle, from the Beer Table Pantry Grand Central, split with Yespr on the train to Hostelboro, 28/02/14. Lightly hazed golden orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is straw, bitter orange, orchard tones, bitter lemon rind, light spice, woody tones. Taste comprises bitter orange, grassy, herbal tang, spice, lemon rind. MEdium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok saison - but not much depth.

Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours pineapple yellow with an inch of white fluffy foam. Leaves a shitload of lacing in the glass. Has a bit of peppery hop on the nose. Fairly funky on the tongue. Goes down real nice and finishes clean. Nice!
