Pours a bright gold with a gigantic head. Has a yeasty smell. Notes of yeast, bread, spice, and fruit.

12oz bottle into a tulip. Pours a slightly hazy medium gold with a very fluffy two finger white head but unfortunately it is very quick to fade away leaving just a small ring of lacing around the sides of the glass. Aroma is spicy as a Saison should be with peach and orange peel along with a bit of pepper. It is a little limp, though, and one dimensional. The flavor carries the peach notes over from the aroma along with the Belgian spiciness. A little more in the way of citrus juiciness and less spice along with light bread. The mouthfeel is where this beer tends to be lackluster. It is not real crisp and dry like a good Saison should be. A bit too oily and sticky on the finish. Overall, while this beer can’t stand up to some of the better Belgian examples of the style, it is decent and priced nicely. I am a huge fan of the style and this makes for an affordable go-to beer.

At Cabin. Sweet belgiany yeasty beer. Very fruity a bit of sour a bit tart of more on the sweet fruit end. Serving: Bottle

Bottle. Fluffy white head over a light gold body. Aromas of honey and pears with a little peach and some gunky funk.

The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle: Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is lemony citrus and spice. Not so much in the way of funk, barnhouse, farmhouse type smells. Taste is similarly lemony and spice. Not very sweet. Light bodied and easy drinking. Not bad, but I prefer my saisons to be funkier.

Pours a dark golden with a nice bubble stream that provides a medium white head that leaves some nice lacing. Nose is of fruits and spices, pretty much what I expect from a nice saison. Taste is fruity and lightly tart, dry and quenching. Body is medium, carbonation too. Overall a nice saison, I would have want a second pour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

from bottle at mondial 2014, mtl. hazy light golden pour with a decent off-white cap, some retention and lacing. nice fruity and spicy yeasty esters, grapey character if not vinous, gently peppered, crisp and bready pale cereals, grass. moderate carbonation - could be brighter, light body, relatively dry peppery-spicy finish. slightly above average saison.

Mondial 2014. Conclusion: facile à boire.

Light saison. Citrus takes over from the light floral yeast. Pours orange with good head and lacing. Finishes with light sweetness. Good balance, good hoppy head and lacing, golden clear pour. Tap at Summerfest DC.
