On tap at New Holland Brewery. Pours cloudy gold. Nose is big barnyard some pepper. Palate is same barnyard upfront along with bread, hay, banana and a fantastic balancing bitterness in the end. A great saison overall a must try even better straight from the taps at the brewery!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours murky orange with virtually no head. Smells citrusy. Taste is a little citrus and a little bitter. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and fizzy mouth-carbonation, New Holland Monkey King Saison finishes with a weak bitterness.

12oz bottle - pours gold with white head. Nose is resin and floral. I was withholding the word paint thinner but the thought is there. Not a saison in my book.

Clear yellow pour with fair white head. Classic saison style. Peppery and faint bubblegum. Odd acrid note on the finish. Pretty tasty though.

Murky goldenrod with a medium bone colored crown that sticks around. Aroma is herbal and grainy with black pepper, lemon and bready notes. Taste of black pepper, lemongrass, yeast, light grassiness with a peppery finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured into a pint glass from a bottle. 2 fingers of white head vanishes quickly but leaves beautiful lacing. Smell is sweet banana and hops. Taste is sharp, dry, but also somehow sweet. A great balance. One of the better saison.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasted from bottle. Pours a fairly clear gold with white head. Aroma is bananas and yeast. Taste is fairly sweet with spices. Hints of bananas with a nice balance of bitterness at the end. It's looks kind of thin but I was really impressed with the mouthfeel. Nice crisp and refreshing taste with the belgian spices clinging to the palate. Overall a pretty good beer.
