COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Night Tripper is an Imperial Stout brewed for a Fat Tuesday release. Dark, mysterious and poetic, Night Tripper's abundance of roasted malts, combined with flaked barley create a rich, roasty beer with deeply intense and lush flavors. Night Tripper's layered, nuanced tones invite intrigue and reward a curious palate.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2014 Very dark pour with a light cream colored very thick head. Has a big toasted almond smell very interesting. A nice thick texture with a creamy finish. Toasted almond flavors continue here and go all the way down. A smooth chocolate and vanilla taste covers it all. A very good amount of alcohol feel which really makes this brew a step higher. Also a very decent price.

Draft at Logan's - pours a deep brown with tan head . Huge chocolate and raisin aromas. Taste is dark cocoa , dark fruit vanilla and some oak . A little hot but f-ing delicious . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bomber. Pours a dark dark brown with a touch of head. Malty aroma with chocolate. Nice hints of dark chocolate in taste. A bit fizzy, and thin on the mouthfeel, but pretty good. BBL aged version should be very good. (For the sake of science I added a touch of bourbon to my sample... very nice) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Triangle Wine Co. Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and a little dark fruit underneath as well. Taste is chocolate and a little fruit up front fading to a strong coffee finish. Body is average, slightly thinner than I like in an Imperial Stout, slick mouthfeel. Overall this is a pretty good Imperial Stout.

Draft to taster. Looks decent; could definitely be more viscous though. A translucent cola with thin light beige head that quickly dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt, chocolate, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Bottle shared at the Taster’s Choice gathering. Solid black color, nice roasty note, nice imperial stout.

This beer is an opaque black color with a medium light tan head, and the aroma is strongly reminiscent of roasted malts with the slightest hint of vanilla thrown in. The taste fuses a mild umami with a slight bitterness and a slight sourness, but there is a bit of a boozy quality to it when it first hits your tongue; furthermore, the palate fuses a slick texture, a medium-full body, a nearly flat carbonation, and a finish that is purely roasted malts and umami.

Vintage 2011 A: pours dark, deep black ale with a single finger of mocha head. This sticks around for several minutes before falling to a sheet of the same, albeit broken. Spotty lacing. Clarity cannot be assessed on this darky. S: Piny hops, molasses, bitter chocolate, slightest hint of graham. Nice, but nothing to call home about. T: Roasty malts, graham, molasses, resiny hops. This is not particularly complex, but it is really nicely done. The flavor would likely come together more with some time in the bottle (12-18 mos). Alcohol is evident but complimentary. M: Thick and something I could munch on. I like the viscosity here. Really decent carb here too: a little below moderate. O: Nice beer, worthy of a try. Not as worthy if you have limited cellar space, but could age well. Otherwise, worth a try, but not overly awesome. Serving type: bottle 07-13-2011

Bomber from umich43jm, thanks Jason! Pours dark brown with a nice coffee colored head. Aroma is bourbon and smoke. Flavor has chocolate, coffee tones and a lot of smoke towards the finish.

On tap at Sterb’s for Darkness Eve event. Starchy stout that does pretty much deliver on the goods for a RIS
