3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into a pint chalice. Very dark brown with a large head, but just right for aesthetics. The head is a mochachino froth color. Cadbury chocolate and chocolate liquer on the nose. A little marshmallow is noted too. Moderately thick. Items detected in the aromas appear in the flavors, except there’s a notable smokiness that doesn’t get expressed in the nose.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours pitch black with a thick khaki mocha head that hangs out a while and leaves a thick wall of soapy lace. Nose involves deep dark chocolate, roasty notes, creamy marshmallow, a dash of licorice, spicy pepper, and stone fruit. Quite sweet, decently bitter. Thick, full body, velvety, luxurious, soft, sharp with bitterness, finishing long toasty and warm. Really nice brew, decadent and dessert like.

Amazing aroma of bourbon, coffee and hints of chocolate. Pours a black color with no head. Taste of bourbon and chocolate with hints of coffee with a medium body and a creamy feel. A boozy finish

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Rich, roasty and dark. Thinnish, quickly disappearing head. A little boozy. Coffee at the end and a fantastic dark chocolate character.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2014 bottle. Black/dark brown in color with a small, filmy khaki head. Aroma is cream, brewed coffee, milk chocolate, and barely a hint of cayenne. The taste is ground coffee, cream, dark chocolate and a nice herbaceous bitterness that balances out the sweetness. Alcohol taste becomes more prominent as it warms. A slight peppery taste in the finish. A medium mouthfeel

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
2014 vintage. ABV is 11.5%. Pours very dark, almost black, with a nice tan head. Aroma of malts and alcohol. Taste is rich and fairly straight-forward. A good, solid imperial stout, but not great. Thumbs up.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle. Black with small head. Pretty thin looking pour - doesn’t look like a typical imperial stout. This is quite an old bottle. Booze is present, but seems like it’s probably mellowed out some. Molasses is the main flavor with some dark chocolate as well.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black, brown head. Smells chocolatey and coffee and red wine. Unfortunately its a bit of a soy bomb. Lots of red wine, too. OK, but not really my thing.
