3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: frontal dry hop freshness followed by crystal malts , caramel with cola like barrel treatment.
Apperance: poured as amber with lighter mid-sized fine tanned creamy cap. 3-
Taste/Palate etc. full bodied with lighter sides. Leafy hop notes with bitter woody elements behind. Pleasant warmth followed. Some heat at end but not much. Top end noted by woody cola cask elements. Fairly smooth. Good choice for cold winter days.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle, Giant Eagle Market District, Dublin, OH; $5.99. Lovely reddish-orange-golden color; ilghtly hazy; creamy one-finger head; medium lacing. Aroma floral and fruity, apple/pear, caramel, oak. Flavor is maybe just a touch overly sharply bitter but I could definitely get used to it; the fruity/floral thing is overshadowed by the hop bite, unfortunately; but the oak remains strong through the slightly dry finish. Heavy carbonation is halfway between coarse and silky; medium mouthfeel just the tiniest bit oily. Really nice beer and possibly underrated.

Not what I thought I was getting, ipa isnt quite the right style, darker less hops and very smooth, something just doesnt click right with this beer

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle for 6 bucks. Pours dark copper with a white head. Looks more like a Barleywine than an IPA to me. Aroma is caramel, oak and a little hops. Taste is vanilla up front with to caramel, oak and a little smoke on the back end. Medium body with a nice creamy mouthfeel as well. I’m not quite sure how this fits into the IPA mold. It lacks the typical hoppy characteristics that most IPAs have, but it’s still quite a good beer. I’d be interested in a higher ABV version. A nice, easy-drinking iPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours orange amber with a small off-white head. Hoppy aroma of pine, caramel, citrus and oak. Flavor of toasted malts, caramel, wood/oak, vanilla, pine needles and had a crisp and oaky finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tasty and interesting beer. The hop profile is good, but the aging only imparts a more malt forward finish, like an English IPA. I can't pick up any noticeable flavor from the barrel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A little subdued for a barrel aged beer, but good flavors. Lots of caramel, sweet brown sugar, toast, citrus hops and oak. Hints of maple. Not as hoppy as I hoped, but refreshing and enjoyable.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a beautiful clear chestnut with a thick, fluffy, and rather persistent ivory head. Aroma is quite hoppy and fruity, as much apple and pear as citrus, sweeter than most IPAs I have sampled. Oak and bourbon hints come out in the hoppy, lively flavor, as well as a hint of caramel; fruit notes are not as prominent as in the aroma. Texture is smooth and creamy, yet fairly fizzy, leaving a nice hoppy and woody finish. Get your Hatter on!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an orangish brown with white head and lots of lacing. Aromas are all oak. Bourbon, vanilla, and oak. Flavors are boozy bourbon, sweet vanilla and oak. There is some nice hop bitterness at the end.. But this a bit too dominated by the bourbon.

Pour from a 22oz bomber. Clear orange amber brew with dense tan head. Aroma of wood, bourbon, resin and citrus. Taste is mild malt at the start, moderate wood, vanilla, and a little char mid swallow. Pleasant resinous finish. Nice.
