COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a golden colored body with a creamy white head. Its slightly sweet malt flavor makes up the base and offers a supporting role to the refreshing hop profile. Cascade hops provide a floral, citrus and almost fruity character to this well balanced easy drinking ale. Back by popular demand, “Paleooza” is an old favorite and an early original in our portfolio of great beers! 14°

It’s got a but of lager "skunk" to the aroma and that sneaks into the taste a good bit as well (see the likely reason below). Overall, it doesn’t suck, but it’s not exactly good (again, below). I can tell this has some nice hop and malt character and it’s actually well-balanced for what it is. That skunk, thankfully, isn’t highly-prominent, so I can enjoy it at least. This is a beer that I likely wouldn’t try as I’m not the biggest New Holland fan, but Mainstreet Liquors in Countryside, IL had it on sale for $4 for a 4 pack, so I decided "well, it may not be super-fresh, but let’s give it a try anyway for that price!" I picked the one that was furthest from the blazing sun at the front of the store....really great place to put beer, but that’s why it’s on clearance, right? Overall, worth the $1 a bottle experiment.

Foggy butterscotch color, thin white head. Funny label, standard 12 oz longneck. Dry caramel aroma, with some off notes up front. Kinda plain flavor, cereal, moderately bitter. Medium body, good carbonation. Lightly acidic. Drinkable. Lazy Dog Growler, Warner Robins.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a big frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass some.

The aroma is sweet bready malts and fruity hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with a little fruit and grassy hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a nice cascade hop pale ale.

Bottle shared at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 1 - London. Thanks to Kenneth! Pours clear, yellow-gold with a creamy white head. Simple APA with bready pale malts, light bitter hay. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Nice balance to finish, with more basic pale bready malts and mellow citrusy hops. Fine. I could sink a few bottle of this without issue.

Pours a pale orange, light froth. Spotty lace. medium hop aroma, more of fruit than as described. Little spice and floral, some dank resin surprisingly. Little bit of plastic-like mead sweet aroma. Pretty nice for cascade and if it is the same home grown cascade, I thought that was really nice in one of their other beers. More hop flavor with some flat caramel malt. Flat in the middle but hoppy and a mellow bitter. bit of resin on the end of bitter. Good hop aroma and flavor for cascades, kind of mediocre otherwise.

It’s closer to tasteless than taste. Reminds me of not eating or not drinking. However, there is something attractive about it. Is it the simple notion that this enclosure contains alcohol? Is it an unconscious attraction, one I might never truly understand, but one that keeps me drinking. It is strange when a beer is easy to drink on the first sip. I understand the ones that startle in the beginning. A harsh IPA or even a miller lite. These beers surprise a drinker in the early stages and for different reasons, the IPA smacks your tongue out of your mouth and the miller lite simply disturbs. It is quite common, on the first sip of a miller lite for a drinker to question the ripeness of his or her beverage. Did this beer go bad? Will this drink kill me? But both these beers, over time, drift into the realm of drinkability. We get used to their thorns and begin to recognize their charm. This beer instead has no grit, none at all. Can we really hope to ever find its bright-notes? Perhaps these 12ounces will bring me an answer.

Bottle, bbotmc. Hazy amber with white head. Floral and soft tropical fruit aroma - pineapple. Tastes bitter and hoppy, a little floral and the slightest, quickly diminishing soapy aftertaste. Full body, bitter, hoppy finish.
