4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 21, 2007
Pours a lightly hazed deep golden amber. Thick head of white foam, good retention and sudsy lacing. Caramel malt and citrus hops in the aroma.
This is an APA that does not skimp on the malt. Sweet bold caramel malt, a dash of honey, and then drier malt in the finish. Nor does it skimp on the hops - lots of hops for balance, a citrus flavor and aroma, and a delightfully long lasting and slightly spicy citrus bitterness, which is accompanied by a tasty butterscotch in the aftertaste. Medium body and very gentle carbonation.

Definetely the lightest of all of New Holland’s year round beers. Great for a long night of underage drinking.

Very respectable APA with all the right stuff: Good proportion of hop bitterness and flavor to malt profile. Great flavor, wonderful body. I think I’ll keep her.

Hops up front with malt dominating the finish and an overall fruity ale character. Good balance. well done!

Beautiful looking APA: cloudy orange full of microscopic particles, thin pure white head. Wonderful aroma: citris, Cascade hops, pinecones, and cotton candy. A lot of hop flavor, moreso than I was expecting. Malt balance is most excellent, bringing an appreciated sweetness to the party. Moderately carbonated. A very fine pale ale.

There once was a time at which i did not care for this product. Just like two dimes and a nickel, my wiew has been changed. It took a growler and two tall mugs to get me straight on just how good this is.

This is pretty good. A bit sweeter and less hoppy than their Mad Hatter, but its still really good. I prefer the Mad Hatter, but I prefer IPAs in general to APAs.

I bought this beer last november and it sat in my fridge until tonight. I decided to clear out some of my stock and I was pleasantly surprised by this brew. Smooth tasting, hoppy with a pleasant aftertaste. I would drink this any time.

Friend to all! One of the greatest sites I’ve ever seen was a girl drinking Paleooza.
