Bottle. Deep red/brown pour with off white head. Smells of bourbon, toffee and slight oak. Tastes of the same with dark fruits and alcohol. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep red. Crystal Clear Beer. Half finger of a light tan head that disappears very quickly. Aroma is very nice. A nice wheat note played well with vanilla, toasted coconut and some oak. No real notice of the alcohol. Maybe a little raisin and nuttiness. Big body on this. Definite wheat notes. Big wheat notes. Some nice oak and toasted coconut. Some slight alcohol but it blends well with vanilla and raisin notes. Slight burn on the way down. Very Nice

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2014 Poured a deep red in my snifter. Bourbon and banana hit you as you get into this. It was a little weird at first, banana and bourbon? Wow! Some raisen and earthy notes also on the palate. The mouthfeel is is very sweet and not overpowering. Wow! I hope to be able to get another bottle of this! It will be a great winter warmer! re-rate, 2-16. Forgot to mention, this is a 2012 bottle. This wow’ed me even more this time around. I think one more bottle to cellar until next year will for sure happen.

Bottle. Red orange with a cream colored head. Raisins, ripe bananas, caramel, wood and booze. Sweet but quickly cut with alcohol warmth. Heavier body with a sticky feel. The kind of beer that you only want one of...

Clear dark amber pour with a little white head. Big caramel and toffee notes in the nose. Excellent mouthfeel, just enough heat to let you know you should be sipping this and a nice amount of barrel character that go well with this slightly sweet brew. Caramel and dried dark fruit.

Cola color with big white head that fades. A lot of banana, vanilla, wood, and toffee in the nose. Similar notes in the flavor but with a harsh wheaty finish. Not bad, but nothing amazing.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark cola mahogany color with a thin wispy off white film. Aroma is nice smooth bourbon caramel malt dark fruit; cherry with soft vanilla. Taste has a smooth really nice bourbon flavor of vanilla bean cherry and burnt caramel and spice, with a bit of saltiness. Palate is full slick sticky and warming. Wow this is awesome! I would go with a higher rating, but the booze is strong with this one!

Poured into a 16 oz. taster glass at about room temperature. Aroma- Strong bourbon, oak, fruit, caramel, nut. Appearance- Reddish brown with a little head and lacing at the top of glass. Taste- Bourbon, dark fruit, caramel, vanilla. Palate- Charred wood, bourbon, spice, plum/grape, subtle sweetness, with a dry finish. Overall the beer is complex yet it was well balance. I thought it would be very boozy in taste with that strong bourbon aroma but the ingredients in the ale comes together quite well.

This was a suprise draft at a beerfest a while back. From notes. Bourbon dominates with caramel and fermented fruits right behind it. A little woody and vanilla in there too. Very solid beer.

Pours reddish orange with a thin, tan head. Aroma is sweet with lots of dark fruits, nuttyness, and a touch of alcohol as it warms. Sweet caramel and raisin flavor with oaky bourbon and hints of bitterness and warming alcohol late. Very rich, thick body. I enjoyed it, but probably would have been even better with a bit more aging.
