3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
at a tasting, thanks zvikar, smallish creamy head, quite clear brown color, aroma of cognac, wood, coconut, vanila, bread and a hint of rum baba, sweet caramel flavor, dried dark fruits and a hint of cognac with some spiciness showing from time to time. Melllow but with an overwhelming barrel character and not too exciting.

Bottle. Clear dark amber. One of the best heads I’ve ever seen on a high gravity beer. Aroma is sweet, fruit cake, caramel. Taste is too much alcohol. Sweet, caramel, dried fruit.

A very nice heavy hitter from the mercurial New Holland Brewing Co. Damn, this thing is like a drinkable form of turpentine! Hot as hell, and I love it! In your face caramel and raisin, somewhat smoothed out by wheaty characteristics. Super expense alert per bottle; we are getting into the .33 cents per ounce range. Fun to try.
