MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA Sep 28, 2005 Bottle. Clear copper, floaties, thin tan head. Decent maple syrup malty spucy aged barleywine aroma. Malty flaovrs with a hint of sharp hops, but the malt is not complimenting the hops the way I like. Very fruity yet oddly not meshing right. Thick malts, but the malt flavors do not linger. Needs something but not sure what. Makes me think when I want to drink.

kiefdog (1262), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 28, 2009 Bottle courtesy of tampabrew. Pours an amber orange color with thin white head. Aroma is sweet and boozy with notes of caramel, maple syrup, brown sugar, light floral hops, some notes of toffee. Flavor is sweet and malty with boozy notes of syrup, caramel, brown sugar, honey, some light fruit. Medium body with a pleasing boozy malt finish. markwise (900), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Jun 27, 2009 Thanks TampaBrew for the share. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Nose is caramel, sugar, and a barely noticeable hop presence. Flavor is sweetness all over- sugar, caramel, light fruit, booze, and some lingering sweetness.. Medium bodied and very enjoyable. FlssmrBrewAlum (773), South Chicago Suburbs, Illinois, USA Jun 26, 2009 Sampled draft on tap at the brewpub (Holland, MI). Pours a nice full amber, some darker notes, small white head that dies to a film and clings to the glass. Aromas are lightly sweet maltiness, light florals, caramel and toffee malt sweetness seem the dominant. Initial is a bit malty up front, some warming booze with light hoppiness up front. A bit of nuttiness, toffee, and biscuit moves into a nice underlying bitterness, floral and earthy. Interesting, but not necessarily my thing. Booze is warming, easily recognizable as it goes down. Decent, but lacks defining qualities for a wheat wine.. FROTHINGSLOSH (1807), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 11, 2009 Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy red- amber color with a small khaki head. The aroma was strong fruity hops, molasses, caramel and apple. The flavor was fruity with sour nut and toasty caramel. The finish was long with sour nutty caramel. The mouthfeel was fairly flat but thick. Something in this one just did not work for me. MaltDawg (674), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 5, 2009 (Sample Date: 3/14/2009 Source:Other) Molasses, oak, caramel in the aroma. Dark golden with a small white head. Flavor follows the aroma with a woodiness combined with dark fruits and caramel sweetness. Spicy slightly peppery finish. Very tasty! nerdrocker101 (57), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 31, 2009 22 oz bomber drank from a brandy snifter. A sugary aroma of wheat and a touch of alcohol. Pours a light orange with minimal head. Tastes of maple, vanilla, and malt. There is little after taste. The texture is kind of thick for a beer this clear and light in color. michael-pollack (2192), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA May 25, 2009 22oz. Bottle: Aroma of caramel, alcohol, burnt sugar, malted wheat, and slight alcohol. Poured orange/deep amber in color with a small, beige, head that diminished but lasted around the edges. Clear. Not sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of caramel, toffee, vanilla, slight bourbon, slight alcohol, slight wood, maple syrup, slight alcohol, and a bit of butter. Medium body. Syrupy texture. Soft carbonation. Caramel, malted wheat, and slightly burnt finish is a tad dry.
