I’m going to grab a $1.99 bomber of almost any beer I haven’t tried, natch. This one poured a hazy bright amber with a generous white head and decent enough lacing. Nose is dusty hops, citrus, rye bread. Generous malt. Taste is quite bitter, almost spicy, so lots of hops, but also a shit-ton of malt. A fight between a bready, malty rye beer and an IPA. Bitter, dry finish. Almost really good but misses the mark.

Clear copper like a fresh penny, with a medium rocky beige head. Lovely nose of spicy bread dough, pepper, caramel, and a dry-hopped orange citrus tone. Lovely flavor too, with some spicy rye malt mixing with a fresh leafy grassy bitterness and a orange rind bitter hop flavour. Nice hoppy yet smooth caramalt and rye undertone to sweeten. Flavorful and unique.

I pry the cap off my rye ale. I spy a copper beer and my eye detects a shy white head. As it draws nigh, a subtle but spry aroma cannot be denied. I cry with delight at the chai-like supply of flavors. Finishes dry. Oops, spilled some on my thigh, sigh. Bye.

Bomber. Spicy rye aroma with notes of hops and a bit of caramel malt. Pours cloudy copper colored with a big, soapy tan head and excellent lacing. Starts with sweet caramel flavor with a very smooth mouth feel. Finishes dry with spicy rye as well as piney hop flavors. Good, but I liked their others better.

22 oz bottle. Pours hazy copper orange with a big frothy creamy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet bready rye, some fruit and hops.

The flavor is sweet bready biscuit malts, rye spice, some fruit with slightly vegetal hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with slightly sharp carbonation.

Overall, a decent rye pale.

Bomber bottle poured a hazy copper hue w/ large beige frothy head diminishing to a lasting cap. Big malt aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a bold bitter finish of long duration. Tastes are caramel, peppery rye, and malt. Full bodied, avg carbonation, and creamy mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark and murky brownish-amber. Has a fruity malt and caramel aroma. Has a sweet caramel, fruit, malt, hop, and light citrus taste. Aftertaste starts sweet, but is followed by some bitter hops/malts.

Bomber from this year’s vintage. Nose spicy with lots of booze, caramel, earth; pours deep garnet that’s starting to fade toward orange, supports a large and densely rocky beige head. Watery light-medium body with meringue beefing up the body a bit, clean with medium bitterness and significant alcohol and burn, there’s the spiciness associated with rye and goopy glucan character as well, depressing caramel with very little citrus to enliven, hops are there but not huge, just wooden and earthy. The pine is nice, though and matches well. Overall pretty standard, probably not worthy of a special release, but stands up well by itself as a sipper and against food as a base.

Bottle (2014 edition). Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin, apricot), with notes of diacetyl. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Seems more alcoholic than it is. Fairly strong sourness mars the drinking experience. The aroma is fine, although pretty basic...tropical fruit and resinous hops with some caramelly malt. Average.
