COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you’ll find anywhere.

Draft at the Mitten Bar. Copper with a beige head. Dull malt and orange flavor. Flavor is sweet malt and orange. Kinda boring wheat beer.

Bottle, pours a nice copperish amber with a slight white head and moderate sheeting. Slight metallic and toasty aroma. Taste is an excellent blend of sweet, biscuit, light citrusy hops, a bit of brown sugar. A really great amber ale.

Scrapersnbeer (975) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Aroma is toasty, buttery, and nutty. Deep, hazy looking orange. Initial sweetness, lengthy dry middle, mellow starch finish. Easy enough to drink, yet it gets heavy as it goes.

Hazed orangish amber, slight head. ARoma is a bready toast with slight chocolat, slight sweetness, mildly nutty, could be a faint citrus. TAste is malty with dry toastiness, a bit of chocolate, some nuttyness, kinda roasty, has some heavy citrus mid palate also in finish.Has some residual sweetness, some citrus grassy bitter.. Another mehish beer from New Holland.

Pourer from a bottle at coopers. Reddish pour with thin white head. Decent for this style. Malty and Carmel flavor. Nutty backbone too

A very smooth and light tasting beer out of new holland. Technically a amber ale but tastes like a pilsner ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A promising aroma (both caramel and pine) and appearance (fluffy, slow-to-dissipate head) are followed by a respectable taste that has room for both the sweetness and bitterness hinted at in the aroma. A good one enjoyed from a bottle.

Slightly better than mediocre. Nothing particularly wrong with this beer, but there is nothing about it that helps it rise above the competition. Tried with Nick at the brewery. Was one of the least impressive.

Lubiere (8239) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 24, 2012
A copper amber ale with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, grainy caramel malt with grassy mineral hops. In mouth, a nutty malt with faint British hops, roasted notes, mineral notes, OK. On tap at Rattle and Hum, Sept. 21 2012.

Scipio (488) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - OCT 19, 2012
Pours a clear amber with an average white head. Aroma is malty, with caramel, nuts, and more than a few bready notes. Taste has a lot of yeast in it. Much of the malty impressions that were available in the nose have disappeared. Instead I get a taste of medicine. Bitter aftertaste. Light in body with a thin mouthful. No real carbonation. Not good.
