3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at the brewery. Appearance is ideal for the style. Malt and hop balance are middle of the road. Not bad, but not outstanding.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours orange-amber with thin head. Chocolate and citrus notes on the nose. Those flavors carry over, plus lots of sweet maltiness. Appealing mouthfeel, but mediocre overall.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours a dark copper with a thin head that never dissipates. Aromas of caramel, citrus, cut grass. The flavors are complex. Definite caramel and grapefruit up front with a hint of brown sugar. Malty, nutty finish with citrus notes and a whisper of pepper. Medium mouthfeel. Just a beautiful, well-made beer! As smooth and delightful as a sunset on a summer day. This one is a keeper!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted from 12 oz brown bottle into nonic pint glass. It poured a clear, deep reddish amber colour with weak beige foam. True-to-style amber ale traits, but the caramel malt was a bit heavy-handed to me, leaving too much rich residual malt sweetness. It did have some nice toasty and fruity aspects though. As far as hops, not very bitter, a bit more in the flavour, not much aroma. Medium body and carbonation, sticky sweet aftertaste. A fine pizza beer, I suppose, but not great nor memorable.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The color of this beer is a hazy amber color--the perfect color, in fact--with a thin white layer of head on the top. Upon sticking your nose in the glass, the sweetness of molasses blended with caramel malts, and the taste, once it hits your tongue with its mild sourness, slight sweetness, touch of umami, and touch of bitter, reveals itself as quite complex and very well blended; furthermore, the palate combines a medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation, and a long yet subtle finish.
