Pours a dark copper with a thin head that never dissipates. Aromas of caramel, citrus, cut grass. The flavors are complex. Definite caramel and grapefruit up front with a hint of brown sugar. Malty, nutty finish with citrus notes and a whisper of pepper. Medium mouthfeel. Just a beautiful, well-made beer! As smooth and delightful as a sunset on a summer day. This one is a keeper!

Tap at Publicity Bellevue: I like it slightly better than the average score. Nice malt taste transferring to a slightly bitter taste. Not bad, not great, but worth a try.

Tasted on 4/10/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal. Pours a pretty clear crimson amber with an average beige head that slowly recedes to a thick collar of lace, leaving sticky residue. The nose is some lightly bitter toasted bread with a hint of darker malt and some earthy hops. The flavor is features a bit more character with some caramel malt and the hops coming through with some spicy bitterness. The body is medium with average carbonation and a medium toasted malt and lightly bitter and spicy hops finish.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber color with some tiny flakes floating about. Aroma has some roasted malt notes along with a bit of caramel. Tastes a bit sweet and some phenolics are present as they are with many ambers. Average beer.

Bleh! Copper smell and taste. Ruined this amber ale. Not sure what it actually is supposed to taste like as a result.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a bottle a hazy brown with a very light white head. Aroma is slight caramel and malts. Taste is light on caramel, lightly sweet. Not a whole lot there, but not so little as to make this unenjoyable. Has a medium body feel and is smooth. This is just ok, but I’m beginning to wonder whether the amber ale style just isn’t my thing.

"Look at that guy drinking that awesome copper colored beer. He is cool." " Yes the color of that beer makes him look SO HOT!!." Anyway its tasty while your working but then again what beer is not. I would take this beer with me to a party for sure. Oh I dont go to parties anymore. This is a keeper. DOnt forget your BIG RED To hide the taste at work.
