COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you’ll find anywhere.

Pours a dark copper with a thin head that never dissipates. Aromas of caramel, citrus, cut grass. The flavors are complex. Definite caramel and grapefruit up front with a hint of brown sugar. Malty, nutty finish with citrus notes and a whisper of pepper. Medium mouthfeel. Just a beautiful, well-made beer! As smooth and delightful as a sunset on a summer day. This one is a keeper!

At Heathers in Springboro. Immediate caramel taste with a slight wheat taste that finishes with a hint of hops. And a sweetness that stays with you. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

A rich flavorful amber with a toasted malt slightly sweet flavor. Has a fizzy palate and golden amber color. I liked it.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is a little bit of a darker amber color with a thin head and no lace there. The aroma is very malty. There is a hint of roast, but the malts are holding down the fort. The flavor is surprisingly bitter for an amber. I like how it goes from the sweetness of the malt and flows through a decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is really thin with notice carbonation and leaves a forgettable lightly dry aftertaste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. From notes. Absolutely average beer in every way. Nothing offensive and nothing that great.

Tap at Publicity Bellevue: I like it slightly better than the average score. Nice malt taste transferring to a slightly bitter taste. Not bad, not great, but worth a try. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on 4/10/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Frugal MacDoogal. Pours a pretty clear crimson amber with an average beige head that slowly recedes to a thick collar of lace, leaving sticky residue. The nose is some lightly bitter toasted bread with a hint of darker malt and some earthy hops. The flavor is features a bit more character with some caramel malt and the hops coming through with some spicy bitterness. The body is medium with average carbonation and a medium toasted malt and lightly bitter and spicy hops finish.
