Very floral nose with a hint of wheat and sawdust. Pours well, amber. The tight stiff mostly lasting creamy white head leaves lovely webby lace. This brew has really decent depth. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much, but it delivers big in the flavor department. Amber ale has to be the most wide open style IMO; definitely like a box of chocolates. Starts well balanced with light acidity, the finish is bold and toasty and hangs around long after the last swallow. The full body is creamy and soft to lively. The finish feels dry. Thanks to my roomate Scott for looking out for me with such a great hookup.

Sep 16, 2008 12oz. Bottle:Faint aroma. Smells of biscuit, caramel, and sourdough. Poured amber in color with a small, creamy, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Full of tiny particles. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of caramel, malts, biscuit, toasting, and a hint of hop-resin. Medium body. Thin, watery texture. Soft to average carbonation. Biscuity, toasted malt finish is a bit chalky. Overall, a sub-par Amber.

Aug 26, 2008 Not that amber looking…more of a dark golden hue. No head what so ever. Crisp with back notes of caramel. Also some lager like grassy notes on the back end. Smooth and creamy actually turns into dry and crisp by the time I swallow. It’s ok. I like the Red Tulip Amber much more.

Aug 20, 2008 33 cl bottle, Sault Ste Marie, MI. Amber colour, faint malt aroma with some forward hops. Almost creamy smooth on the first sip with a nice hop bite, and crisp finish. Very nice.

Jul 25, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours cloudy amber in color with tan head. Aroma light hops, roasted malt and nutty. Taste bitter, roasted malt and nutty with bitter finish.
