COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sundog is an ale whose amber color is as deep as the copper glow of a Lake Michigan sunset. Its Biscuit malt and Fuggle hops give it a toasty character and a subtle, malty sweetness. We believe Sundog is the deepest, richest amber you’ll find anywhere.

Nice amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is light, but I can sense some citrus and hops. Decent mouthfeel...a lot of carbonation. Flavor is good. Starts a bit bitter (citrus) and hoppy and finishes fairly sweet and malty. A good amber ale.

Bottle. Nice deep, clear amber color with huge offwhite head and lots of lacing. Aroma is malty and fruity. Taste is sweet with just a hint of bitterness. Medium body and moderate carbonation with a slightly oily feel. Not bad overall.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled on 5/27/2014. Pours lightly cloudy deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, toast, biscuit, toffee, nuttiness, light citrus zest, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, nuttiness, light citrus zest, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, toffee, biscuit, nuttiness, light citrus, herbal, floral, grass, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish, Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good amber ale. Good balance and robustness of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Gorgeous color - light amber. Mild aroma - not a strong hoppy aroma. Refreshing taste. Nice amber ale for summer.

At Heathers in Springboro. Immediate caramel taste with a slight wheat taste that finishes with a hint of hops. And a sweetness that stays with you. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

A rich flavorful amber with a toasted malt slightly sweet flavor. Has a fizzy palate and golden amber color. I liked it.

On tap at Dan's. The pour is a little bit of a darker amber color with a thin head and no lace there. The aroma is very malty. There is a hint of roast, but the malts are holding down the fort. The flavor is surprisingly bitter for an amber. I like how it goes from the sweetness of the malt and flows through a decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is really thin with notice carbonation and leaves a forgettable lightly dry aftertaste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. From notes. Absolutely average beer in every way. Nothing offensive and nothing that great.

12oz bottle, amber pour, little aroma. Some hints of toast and hops comes through, not a lot though. Definite sweetness. Overall decent, not great but decent.
