Pours dark black coffee with almost no head to speak of. Aromas of licorice and chocolate. Taste is sweet malt, chocolate and doughy bread. Light carbonation and medium body leaves a silky mouthfeel and makes for a pretty smooth drinking stout. Overall pretty pleased with this one. Opens up nicely as it warms.

Poured from the bottle a deep brown/black with a beautiful tan head. Not much aroma, but a bit of chocolate and raisins. Malty and rich, balanced with distant hops. This beer has a silky mouthfeel. A delight to drink.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours almost opaque, deep dark brown with dark copper highlights when lit, medium- high creamy head persists well and leaves some lacing. Roasty nose with hints of coffee, dark fruit, and cocoa. Medium-full body is somewhat creamy. Soft medim-light carbonation lets the balanced flavors of sweet dark malt and tempered roastiness shine through. The finish is slighlty sweet and smooth with no harsh bitterness from dark grain. Very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a nice dark color with a light tan head that doesn’t last too long but leaves great lacing. Flavor is kind of fizzy with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and oatmeal. Flavor is initially a nice sweet bitterness of dominant chocolate and roasted malt. Mouthfeel is full and carbonation is silky. Thanks for the trade JB.

Too thin for my Stout taste. Chocolate nose, coffee taste as it warms. It’s all chocolate cold, coffee and bitter as it warms...but too much bitter.

One of my first big loves and still is to this day. Dark creamy head with really nice chocolate and coffee flavors. Available year round and almost everywhere. This will be a long time favorite.

Black color, medium sized brown head. Wonderful chocolaty, roasted malty aroma with hints of cream (fudge). Chocolate, roasted malt and some soapish hints in flavor. Also some wooden hints in flavor. The flavor is kind of weak
