COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and youíll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Slightly hazy chestnut brown with a handsome, beige head that leaves some lacework. Thereís a weak aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with lightly roasted malt notes and a dry, slightly bitter finish. A VERY thin finish. Disappointing. 150807

Draft... on a trip to The Great American Ballpark. A stand that sells microbrews at a baseball game canít be a bad thing. This beer is a dark brown in color-almost black. It was a foamy chocolate brown head. The aroma is a toasty coffee with a bit of sweet sugar. This beer is loaded with sweet chocolate and coffee flavors. Delicious.

Nice aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, molasses, coffee and banana (!). Poured a nice black, with a good creamy tan head that slowly receded into a creamy cap. Left nice lacing. Taste of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, milk chocolate. Medium body with creamy and oily texture. Soft carbonation. Unique finish that is sweet chocolate, then mild coffee in a long mildly bitter finish. A very nice stout. I will definitely buy again. A very good job by New Holland in what I consider to be a very unique stout. Served in a Pint.

Bottle, nice rich aromas, touches of cream and oats, Pours fairly dark wtih a mild lacing of creamy head. Nice dark creamy, light roasted malts, finishes slightly bitter and dry. Not as sweet as I was thinking which was nice to me. Its not a bad brew at all, pretty easy to drink I could drink more than one of these.

Black pour, small brown head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Flavor is chocolate, roasted malts, and some coffee. Then an astringent irony taste kills everything in itís path. Seriously this chalky taste on my tongue sucks and is borderline drain pour.
